Thanks for doing the class brother! I would have never started making video's if you had not offered the class and I have discovered that making videos gives me a creative outlet as well as the ability to give others a small glimpse into what makes our profession so special to me. I enjoy it so much that my wife and I are planning to make a documentary about tree work and are planning to travel the west coast and visit some other tree guys to get some epic footage and interviews. You, Reg, Buckin, and Lawrence Shuiltz are top on my list of folks to visit. Also, Steve's was my favorite submission, melting down junk into usable tools is just too cool😎

#4, #7 and #10 - all good videos. I liked #4 because it had a good balance of visuals, clear narration or explanation, and music that enhanced the experience without being overpowering.

I actually enjoyed everyone of those videos! They were all great. I did like #1, #10 and the one where the guy cut down the bradford pears the most. Maybe I'm old-fashioned but I do like the videos where they they introduce themselves and describe what they are doing the most. The gentleman who showed walking his dog had the biggest impact for me thank you so much for posting the submissions

Hello August, I finally pulled the trigger and got a MB saddle. Love it! I had the pleasure using it on a black cheery pruning job. Super happy with it. The videos were absolutely wonderful and inspiring. I myself got into climbing late in the game at 46 . The three videos I really enjoyed were 4 ,5 and dropped a bomb. 4 and 5 had great angles from start to finish . 5 flowed really well, but I wish had a little more verbal interaction with the audience. 4 had just about everything except that perfect flow from start to finish, but had great interaction with the audience . I loved the bomb video because the song was perfect for dropping wood. lol. Thank again August and marry Christmas to you and your family!

Sizemore was great. He seems like a fun guy to be around. The video had good editing and a mixture of camera angles. There was humor and a heartfelt message at the end. I loved the music in the vine-covered tree removal video with the spider lift. A was a toss-up between the guy moving the huge beam by himself and the last video. I loved the suspenseful music.

My favorite videos, in this order, are 8, 7 and 6. Notable mentions were 2, 4 and 5. Cheers! Also, I got a kick out of that cute little chipper on tracks that was sitting on a trailer in video 5.

First choice; 2 Second choice; 4 Third choice; 8 You've been busy August, I am beginning to understand what "busy" is. All good videos that were submitted from your "students". I chose the 3 I enjoyed the most in no particular order. I can very much relate to you doing "solo" work and having to be more "careful" in every area as you go through the process. Thanks for taking the time to share all this with us. Keep yourself safe! 😃👍❤🌲 Randy

1,6,7 did it for me. I ranked them pretty much on entertainment value, not so much for documentation or informational content if you catch my drift. first of all I really like music, not a real heavy metal fan but #6 is still music and well done. I'm a 70's 80's classic rock guy, my wife a classical violinist and my son is a DJ, hence my obsession with music. As a long time photographer I like rakish and unusual angles for shots. Fades/transitions from scene to scene catch my interest as well. Kudos to all 10 of the guys, a lot of work went into it and it shows. And thank you August for setting up the whole project, I'm always a fan of your work! Blessings to all, I'm excited to see who the lucky Monkey Beaver winners are.

Video 2,4,5 were my top three with 2 being better. It had a story, different camera angles, another person who you’re curious about - something that you could watch hours of. I tend to like the ones with more details, which goes both ways. People like to know why, but it also brings out the trolls.

#2, sometimes when everyone else is busy, you have to just do it yourself. I just put up a carport. Directions recommended 3 to 5 people. Just my wife and myself assembled it. Oh yes, I'm 68 yrs old. #6, always wanted to do bucket work, never had the opportunity. Good music also. #10, Starting at 48 climbing trees is pretty cool. I climbed my last one at 60. Still would like to do it, but my knees just don't work that way anymore.

1st Place (for me): #4 - Justin Sizemore. Way more diverse content, incorporating removals, surgery, end weight, stump grinding and cabling all in one! 2nd Place: #2 - Brian Vis. I love the problem solving! That's the name of the game with tree work as well! 3rd Place: #7 - Jay Baxter. I love his style of vids! Reminds me of the Human channel.

What's up August...hope you & the family & crew are good! #4 Justin Sizemore 1. Felt like he was comfortable addressing his audience, he atleast appeared to. 2. Clear description of the work being done, & thoughts once completed. 2.5 He seemed to have genuine knowledge on the trees he was working on. I like how he noted his presense on the job the day before doing prep work. I appreciate the explanations like, on the weight reduction & equip being used....also strength capacity etc. 4. With the informative above mentioned and clearly laying out the job. I felt he was a funny guy like the intro joke from August.....but even later in his video...#CoolGuy #CoolGuyW/Glasses
