Also, in the UK at least, you'll never be asked for your GCSE certificates no matter what job you apply for. I was lucky to have this pointed out to me by a friend of my sister a fortnight before I was due to take mine. It sure took the stress out of cramming and actually doing my exams. And I've a decade on I can confirm he was right. Edit February 2023: I also heard years after taking my college (UK) exams that A level and AS level certificates were only valid for two years. Does anyone else know about this that can confirm???

From what I remember of the story, when my brother was in elementary school, he somehow got outside of the school without anyone knowing and just walked off. A man picked him up off the street and TOOK HIM TO HIS OWN HOUSE instead of, I dunno, going to the police??? I know there's more to the story, but it happened before I was born and my mom doesn't really talk about it.

My friend had an attempted kidnapping on his oldest daughter. She was so smart and went James Bond on his ass and the attempt was foiled by her quick thinking. Just saying, when he told me, which wasn't for a very long time, he was NOT smiling like these people were when recounting it. The only smiling was when he thought about how smart she was, and how the detective gave him the suspects info, pre arrest, as a favor, dad to dad. Thankfully he didn't do anything rash, and the dude is gone for a long time, but these people's body language is all off, just from personal experience.

Let's say I watched a show like Crime Watch a few years back. In that episode one of the cases was the actual abduction of a woman and mother from her house. Her husband got a call and the kidnapper asked for such a specific amount of ransom money that it seemed completely impossible to get in the short amount of time that man gave him until he would murder his wife. Long story short the whole thing did not work out properly and after the overall case had been shown there was a video of the husband and her two children begging the kidnappers to le her go. You could feel the terror and fear through the screen. Now going back to these two idiots that just talk about he whole thing like the kids broke a vase and hid it somewhere so they wouldn't find out you can tell this is something they made up.

I actually have a REAL story similar to this. So when I was younger, we would take a trip to a cabin that was in the middle of the woods. I did something bad, so I was told to go inside. I did and fell asleep on the bed. The thing is, our comforters were MASSIVE, and I was little. So you couldn't tell I was there unless you moved the blankets. So after a bit my family goes to tell me that I can leave the cabin. But they couldn't find me in the house, so they went searching for me. I WAS ASLEEP FOR A FULL HOUR till they found me. My poor family was searching through the woods, and my mom almost jumped into a body of water because there was a rock that resembled a small child. So safe to say, everyone was happy when they found clueless little ol me.

My dad has been a truck driver since I was 3 months old. I (10) went on the road with him (trucking family) during summer break. We stopped at a rest stop in Pennsylvania when a man started following us all the way to the restroom asking me who I was and if I knew him (dad) and what my name was.
