This video may not be the worst, but it still contains a Dhar Mann trope that always bugs me: the "antagonist has a complete turnabout once the person they've been harassing non-stop does something that benefits them" trope. In this case, Karen McGee only stops being a nightmare neighbor to this guy after he saves her kid from getting hit by a car. It always makes the character's supposed redemption feel hollow, as it only comes once their victim has apparently proven themselves "worthy" of being treated with basic respect and decency.

When I was little, my family and I were driving to Florida (long care ride, 12+ hours), and we stopped at a gas station. My dad took me inside to use the bathroom, and there was a really long line so I had to wait several minutes. Well, a mother and her daughter-a little older than I was-cut in front of me when I was about to step inside, and this really intimidating, gruff-looking, middle aged biker lady who was standing in line also, scolded them for being disrespectful, telling them firmly I had been waiting longer and that it was really inconsiderate to do something like that. They backed off and she brought me into the bathroom, since my dad couldn't. So yeah. Most bikers are really nice people. I still think about that woman sometimes, and I really appreciate what she did, purely out of kindness.

This was one of his better videos since the shift in his content, but it really comes down to how the person getting harassed Frank, was an actual person and how it highlights a major issue with the Prison System. It always felt strange to me that antagonists are often the highlight of Dhar mann videos despite their hammy nature, but rather in scenarios that often involve Karens or bullies Dhar likes to suddenly give them a change of heart seemingly because what the protag did was a convenient gesture for them. If you want to have an antagonist who is made to be bad, stick with that, unless the story is about changing that aspect of them or they are using it to hide something. Because honestly, Dhar Mann's antagonists are more entertaining when they don't change. For instance this actor here is often really good at playing Karen roles in Dhar Mann videos, by her not changing it would've worked a lot better here utilizing how good she is at playing a Karen, while obviously teaching the Karen not to judge.

A funny thing is that after several recomendations on youtube of channels like Dhar Mann and so much free internet time for me, I'm sure the most cringey ones are in latinamerica... "Elsa Soto", "Luz Maria historias de vida" and the nemesis of this one "Luz Maria" (not the same channel or associates, believe me) are perfect examples, they are in the Dhar style but with a dose of telenovela were the rich fall in love with a poor and a moral teaching at the end falling at the most cringe way, Luz Maria (both the original and the copy one) has the prize with this, believe me, the thumbnails say a lot, and they are responssible of several latin memes just like "empresaria millonaria". But well as I say after several channels in this style, I'm sure to say the less cringe one and at least the most entertaining one is DramatizeMe.
