I live in Hawaiʻi (20 mins from the resort actually) and it makes me so happy that there are tourists who respect the place and culture that Hawaiʻi has. The handful that don’t respect however give tourists a bad rep when in reality majority r actually super nice and polite. Dev, I’m glad you and Bianca enjoyed your stay at Aulani despite the couple of things that almost made it sour…thank you for allowing us to explore the resort with you both and seeing everything Aulani has to offer….so beautiful and looks like so much fun, can’t wait to book my stay. The Japanese Temple was so beautiful, definitely a place to visit while exploring the island. You never let us down on all of the local dining and shopping hotspots, I’m taking notes on all of your activities. I haven't been to Hawaii since 1966. We stayed at Fort McPherson on Waikiki for a month coming back from 3 years in Guam. Back then there was nothing but a few places and empty beach. Have a blast! Hawaii is still beautiful and so are you and Bianca!

Wow! Honeymoon Part A was amazing! What's gonna top that? LOL! So happy for you. So glad you ventured off property too! In 1967 my parents did a similar trip and met there for my Dad's R&R. They had so much fun and never stopped talking about it. Back then the Internat'l Marketplace was an area of permanent outdoor tiki-looking merchant booths. So funny that it's an actual mall now. I'm sure it's nothing like back then. The temple was beautiful and brought tears to my eyes. Bianca is a hero and certainly deserved this reward with her "sweet macadamia honey". Too bad about the nails tho. OUCH! You guys look soo happy! xoxo

The hot water issue is common right now in some hotels! Hotels usually have “hot water on demand” which means they constantly have hot water circulating they the pipes, but when hotels are not at capacity, they turn this off to save a lot of money!

Am a manger at a hotel.. in our hotel we have the same issue but. It’s not because we turn off the water heaters. But like you said the hot water is not circulating like it use to.. it just takes couple of mins to get hot.

The last time we went to Aulani we did not experience the water slides because we had so much to do, so to this day my child still holds me accountable that we never did the slides, so great advice on what speed to expect on the slides …glad that Bianca is doing much better💅

You forgot to tell everyone about the Menehune Trail...and all the animals and Menehune on the lazy river. We just kept going around the river to make sure we saw everything. My trip to Hawaii was too many years ago. We were on the North Shore of Oahu for my job and 3 days down island for us. At that time, my cousin lived there with her family so we had a local guide (her husband at that time) giving us really good ideas. The best things were Hanauma Bay, Pali overlook and Diamond Head trail. Our then baby (I think he is older than Dev) really enjoyed both Blowhole and Hanauma Bay the best. The Mormons used to run a very entertaining Polynesian show along the eastern shore.
