I'm not exactly sure what happened, and the half-second delay on the Times Square screen didn't help. But it felt surreal watching this live and I kept questioning if it was really happening. It seemed like Mariah tried to lip sync, but her earpiece wasn't working for some reason so she just gave up. Lol it was disappointing as she was the part of the New Year's Eve celebration that I was most looking forward to. But thankfully everything went smoothly other than her performance.
