“Did you really wanna get married or did you just wanna have a big party? You can throw yourself a big party, who’s gonna stop you, the government?” 😂👌🏼 Seriously though, a lot of people seem to get married and have kids because it’s “the next thing to do”. I’m worried that a couple of my friends are going to turn 35 and realize that they’ve rushed into things. My boyfriend and I have been together (off and on, I moved away and moved back) since high school, but we both know we’re not ready to get married yet. I think there’s still a lot of societal pressure to get married young, but people forget that your brain doesn’t even stop maturing until your mid-twenties.

My parents never married but split up either before I was born or when I was a baby. I don’t know for sure. I just remember always being with my mom and my dad showing up in the weekends and them arguing and never getting along. So I was always thankful they weren’t together. I never wished them together. I never felt it was my fault they split up. They obviously hated each other. Did wonders to my self esteem 😢

I used to be very anxious about not doing everything perfect all the time. Every fault i made i punished myself for days or weeks. And then i moved out and realised everybody makes mistakes. Like, telling your country and Queen to lock themselves in at home because of C-rona. Literal Queen sitting by herself at her husbands' funeral. But then you decide to attend and organise about 30 party's in your house and back yard. And you still get to be prime minister. And thats when you realise nothing actually matters as long as your basic needs are met. Everybody fucks up, and most get away with it. Of course, dont be an asshole, but mistakes get made 24/7 and nobody got time to constantly think about them. Buzzkill is cute

@@wizhellrat have you ever heard of The Upside Down Show or Between the Lions? Both were good shows that were weird. The Backyardiagns was good too.

@Miz Ixy loved watching Backyardiagens with my girls. I barely remember upside down show. It was s crazy show. Do not remember between the lions. My oldest we were able to avoid Dora the explorer faze. BUT with my middle and youngest they swallow the Dora pill. I do remember having fun with them. I would always guess the wrong answer. They would give me the eye roll with you wrong daddy. It was great times.

You're absolutely right, grass and dirt won't fix the chemical imbalance in my brain. They certainly improve my mood for two hours but they don't magically remove my depression and anxiety. I'm not a fan of taking medication either and the thought of medication altering the way you think is some scary shit if you dwell on it for too long but I do have the mental capacity to know that I need them to do that to stay sane and potentially alive at this point in time. So thanks but imma keep taking my lil sertraline nuggets to balance my brain until my psychiatrist says it's okay to stop taking them, if that's ever going to be the case, no matter what the neighbourhood Diane says :3

my parents would talk about divorce every now and then, and they argued a lot. their marriage was rougher as dad got sicker. so im not a child of divorce (moms a widow now though? fuck that is Wild to think about) but it sure felt like, at times, i could have been. i had dreams about them divorcing sometimes lol. so this helped, kind of. thanks 👍

My parents are still married but broken up. I asked my mom why and she said that divorce costs money.
