I guess it has to do with what part of the art requires creativity. I also wouldn't really call generated images art, but capable of competing with it. A drawing for example requires creativity beyond just finding a concept, for example the art style itself. People using genai can also compile art styles, as well as fine tuning them. But genai pumps out images way faster
