I was just thinking about ‘eccentric’ old aunties (because I am one). This song popped into my head. Brings back fond memories of my youth. Those were the days my friends 😉

Woke up this morning with the chorus of this song going around in my head so had to look it up to hear all the words again! Originally called he Hogsnort Rupert Original Flagon Band I saw them live in Taupo at Xmas/NewYear 1974. They were playing homemade instruments such as a washboard and blowing into a flagon. I now see a n article in the NZ Herald dated 11 March 2024 says they've recently reformed as Hogsnort Bulldogs Goodtime Band. Maybe my self conscious somehow picked up on this.

It's not widely known that Aunty Alice, who was well ahead of her time, invented the iPod... "Press it in the middle, it'll play a tune."
