I was born in 1972. So for me hearing peoples stories and history from the 90"s and back to 1940"s is so relaxing! When times were just more simple! As much as technology has been a good thing can be the same as being bad. Thank you for your memories, its my relaxation therapy lol.

Mark, you share the name of my best friend growing up. He was also the first person I ever got stoned with way back yonder. Anyway, hope you have a place for me in your black book, and I would love another shout out. This is my third time watching this video. I love your longer videos, and this one is especially meaningful because I'm from Dallas. I live about 45 min away from the site Kennedy was shot, 15 years before I was born. Thank you so much for all the time and work you put into these videos. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.

I have to say, I think all of your videos are brilliant but the ASMR in this one is at the top of the list! So many cool sounds! I’m too young to remember a lot of big events in the UK, but I was a few months old when Princess Diana died, my parents and the rest of the country were in serious mourning for months afterwards 😭 I was 4 when 9/11 happened and I remember everyone at my mam’s office running across floors to look at the TV. I remember I was on a call at work when I heard The Queen had died and I had to pause half way through the call and recollect my thoughts I was so in shock. The biggest famous death that really shook me was Robin Williams, I was absolutely heartbroken 💔 Can’t wait for your part two, your videos are the highlights of my week 😁

Thank you so much for your kind words and comments my friend. I am planning another video like this and will cover some of the people you mentioned. Whenever a high profile person passes away I always reflect on where I was at the time or what I was doing. I remember the death of Princess Diana also, was very hard to believe. Thanks for tuning in and have a great day Olafmuffin, never stop being awesome....:)

Hey there Mark! This was a great video. I was born in 74 and I remember learning about the Kennedy assassinations and watching the Zapruder film. One of my vivid memories of childhood was when I was in 6th grade coming back from lunch and learning about the Challenger explosion, which had the first teacher aboard to travel to space. What’s crazy about your theme is that just this Saturday I was helping my Mom out and ventured into her basement and I found an old scrapbook my oldest brother kept when he was a kid. (he passed in 2021). He saved newspaper clippings from when Elvis, Charles Lindbergh, Groucho Marx passed. He also has headline pages from when President Ford conceded to Jimmy Carter among other impactful local news. Pretty cool stuffI never knew he had this stuff. I wish you and your family a happy Thanksgiving!
@auralfixatedasmr8647 Жыл бұрын
Wow this is so interesting, my mom keeps lots of stuff like this also. I plan on doing more of these and will include the Challenger shuttle in one of them. The more I think about it the more I realize that a lot of events have happened during my lifetime. Tanks so much for sharing this with me, very fascinating. Your brother must have had quite an interest in current and past events, good for him. Thanks again for sharing and for commenting, hope you are having an amazing week....;)

Mom and I talked about that day. My father closed up his luncheonette he owned when the news hit. Lots of businesses closed early; People were heartbroken and confused about how it all went down. Sixty years later we’re STILL asking questions. It reverberated throughout the world. Learning about it years later in school didn’t do that tragic day any justice.

Howdy Mark. Dark story. Dark point in our history. Dark time for my family as well. Mom was a bleedig-heart liberal and pops was a Navy man and a died-in-the-wool conservative. (Yeah, I don't know how that happened either. I think my eminent arrival something to do with it.) It hit my dad pretty hard. How could the best protected man in the world be left so unprotected? It changed him. He had less trust in his government. After RFK's assassination, in '68, he lost whatever trust he had left. EDIT: I forgot to say great video. Well... great audio anyway. Headphones, lying down, eyes closed. You know the drill.
