अरबी और उर्दू में ‘औरत’ शब्द के कुछ ऐसे अर्थ हैं जिनसे अधिकांश हिन्दी-भाषी लोग परिचित नहीं हैं। अच्छे से अच्छे हिन्दी कोशों में भी ये अर्थ नहीं दिए होते हैं, पर उर्दू के कोशों में ये अर्थ प्राप्त होते हैं। इन अर्थों से हमें ‘औरत’ शब्द का काला इतिहास पता चलता है।

I am from Kerala where Hindi was taught as one of the third language options following the three language policy according to which the first language is English, the second language is Malayalam and the third was an option from Hindi, Arabic, Syriac and Sanskrit... Much later in life say like almost thirty years, I came to know that 'Aurat' in arabic means the 'nudeness', 'genitals' or 'what causes shame for a woman'... But still in Bharat, people say Admi (from the aramaic/arabic/hebrew name - Adam) and Aurat (again in the arabic language)... instead of Purush and Mahila... The trap set by the Mughals is almost inescapable since the mix of Arabic/Persian and Hindustani called Urdu is the language of the governing systems. 'Akhbaar' (for newspaper), 'Zilla', 'Tehazildar', 'Munsif', 'Adaalat' (instead of Nyayalay)... Our entire life systems has been corrupted by these foreign terms... It is such a shame...

Is there any Language other than Urdu which is solely Mothertongue of people other than Muslims? Even Christians in Iraq, Kuwait, Syria, Lebanon speak Arabic, Farsi is also Mothertongue of Persian Jews.

Borrowing words from other languages actually enrich your own language. English, a Germanic language, has borrowed a lot more words from Latin than Hindi has borrowed from Arabic/Persian.

Bilkul. Mai gaali bhi sanskrit me hi deta hu aur gandi gandi baatein bhi sanskrit me bolta hu. Logo ko pata hi nhi chalta ki maine kuchh galat bola. Kaafi sabhya bhasha hai, gaali sunne me bhi log mantramugdh ho jate hain. Bas unn logo ko gaali deta hu jo humare shastro ka galat arth nikalte hain aur neecha dikhane ka prayas karte hain.

मेरे श्वसुर जी पुराने और हीन खयालातों के हें। वे प्राय: "औरत" शब्द का प्रयोग करते रहते हें। उनके कुछ प्रिय वाक्य हैं," औरत को दबा के रखना चाहिये"। "औरत को कण्ट्रोल करके रखना चाहिये"। "जिस घर में औरत की चलती है, वो घर बिगड़ जाता है"। "औरत में बुध्ही नही होती"। मुझे इस शब्द से घृणा होती है। यहाँ इस शब्द का अर्थ जान ने के बाद मुझे मेरे भावों के प्रती अपराध भाव से मुक्ति मिल गयी। चूंकि इस शब्द के साथ ही त्याज्य भाव जुड़ा है, अत: इसका प्रयोग भी गलत ही होगा ।

This shows how a language carries the culture of its speakers and their geography. Imposition of a foreign language, even the mere use of its vocabulary leads to the proliferation of foreign ideas, which may be discordant with the local culture and thought process of the local people. Indian Muslims and Pakistanis should realise that with every wave of Arabization that they are subjected to, they will find themselves in greater discomfort, confusion and pain. Because this is not who they are supposed to be.

@@Dave_en शब्द कहीं के भी हो सकते हैं, कृत्यों को देखो ना क्या कर रहे हो, ऐसे शब्द भारतीय भाषाओं और बोलियों में भी जम कर मिलते हैं। कर्म हमारा और दोष किसी बाहरी भाषा पर डाल दो यह बात बहुत असंगत प्रतीत होती है।

All Hindus should call their mother susters as Mahila or Stree or Devis.. All Muslims should call their womens as "Aurat"... Aurat is for Muslims and not Hindus so be clear on it..

पागल है ये आदमी अगर इस तरह शब्दो को देखने लगेंगे तो हर शब्द के कई कई मतलब निकलते है हिंदी का एक शब्द है लिंग अब इस के कितने अर्थ है लेकिन हर शब्द का अर्थ पूरे वाक्य के अनुसार निकाला जाता है कोई भी शब्द अपने आप में कोई पूर्ण अर्थ नही रखता ये उस के उपयोग पर निर्भर करता है उसे कहा उपयोग किया जा रहा है शब्द तो उस टोकरी की तरह है जिस में फूल भी रखे जा सकते है और कंकर भी ये तो उपयोग करने वाले पर निर्भर करता है

Sanskritized Hindi has no history, no literature, there are just some north india dialects which had literature. Most of the Indian literature is in Sanskrit, not any corrupted grammar language (apabhramsha) like Hindi. There is no point to create a new language like new Sanskritized Hindi that never existed and that is too hard to understand. Instead it's better to used the already existing time-tested grammatical Sanskrit, where the words can be broken down without relying on any other language. Instead of promoting Sanskritized Hindi, it's better to promote Sanskrit literacy itself to regain the intellectualism needed to make India realise it's past glory.

हमें अपने प्रतिदिन उपयोग होने वाले शब्दों में धीरे धीरे संस्कृत हिन्दी शब्दों का उपयोग करना चाहिए ताकि सुनने वाले भी उपहास ना बनाएँ l मै अभी try या कोशिश की जगह प्रयास बोलता हूँ, बंदोबस्त मॅनेजमेंट की जगह व्यवस्था, स्थिर ऐसे धीरे-धीरे सुनने वालों के सामने बोलता हूँ l उन्हें कुछ अलग तो अनुभव होता है पर ठीक है l यदि में पूरा वाक्य शुद्ध हिन्दी में बोलूँ तो मजाक बनाएँगे इसलिए उनको इन शब्दों की आदत डाल रहा हूँ l
