Good review G but it would have helped to give a solo comparison of just the vocals too

Not just that but placement of mic and how it was recorded, also he would kill a lot reverb and echo with simple things like gaff tape and moving blankets and a rug. If he had a old mic stand he could throw a blanket on it and have acoustic recording area.

You need to be closer to the mic g, like 6 inches away from the capsule, you letting more noise in being farther away

11:59 “And then my phone died” 💀 I spent $100 on this to go with my half-treated room just so that I wouldn’t have to get a dynamic mic like a Shure SM7B if I take all of that down ‘cause a do love me a good condenser even though I think it’s a good idea to have both. From my experience, you gotta be right up on this thing for it to properly do it’s job but if you’re in a treated space and you wanna be a little farther away like that, I think you can just turn the gain up and be fine. The only thing I don’t like about the ISO-ARMOR 2 is that it balances on top of the shock mount so if you don’t have the shock mount tightened up all the way, it could fall but as long as you do, it ain’t going nowhere. Keep keeping it real my guy ✌️😎

You can pull that shock mount out put your own also i still ended up with a sm7b can't use it with the aurray but I have a old Se electronics Reflection filter and a 3 inch acoustic foam panel to go on top of it, but I might change it and get that $35 TroyStudio Portable Sound Recording Vocal Booth Box - |Reflection Filter & Microphone Isolation Shield
