I was kinda shocked that Spinel actually just tried to murder Amethio. I was speculating that a battle with Spinel would trigger the ground they were fighting on to give way and trap Liko and Amethio, you know, give them their Zutara moment, and Spinel would avoid it and just refuse to help them or something like that, but no, he just traps them in a cave, presumably to starve, freeze, or asphyxiate. That's pretty dark for the anime 😬

Spinel is straight up just a psycho. He will do anything for personal gain. He hypnotized an 11-year old girl in an alleyway, planned to kill the grandson of their team's boss, and even went as far as to drug his Umbreon! An Umbreon is a friendship evolution, and he nonchalantly drugged it, his friend. Spinel is insane.

It would probably be censored somehow, they tend to avoid death or murder mentions unless it's absolutely unavoidable. Even in the subs, the euphemize around it. They'll likely remain, we have seen similar from the anime before (Hunter J trying to kill Ash numerous times, Lysandre trying to commit genocide, and one of the movies has the villain literally commit vehicular homicide, killing two people, and he thought he got away with killing an INFANT too)
