Kai Hahto is the drummer on the second Auri album where this track came from. Frank Van Essen drummed on the first.

Its not Tuomas side project its a collaboration between Tuomas Troy Joanna. This song is from the second album and features Kai on drums..In fact Joanna wrote some of the songs as did Troy..The album is "Those we dont speak of" Which is one of the songs Joanna wrote..

remember the line in Ghost Love Score: "Show me myself without the shell". To me, "Pearl Diving" is right in that metaphor. You can read into Tuomas's lyrics so much. And he doesn't want the listener to solve a riddle with his lyrics in order to "get it". But I think, this is about having the courage to find the "true you" we are hiding under so much crap that we barely recognize it. That's also why there are mirrors used at the beginning and at the end of the video. I love "Pearl Diving".

Johanna Kurkela is her name, beautiful voice. This is from the second album, on which Kai did play. Try Night 13 from their 1st album. If you want to see what Johanna looks like, try A Lifetime Of Adventure from Tuomas solo album.

Her name is Johanna Kurkela and half of the population of Finland doesn't even know that they are married. So she is not "Tuomas' wife" , she has a very successful career of her own. Of course she sings in Finnish, so she is less known outside Finland. But maybe you can check her songs out next ?

To me, it's a person that is lost. Either relationship or other. And in the end the person goes through turmoil (break up etc...) and finds peace. And lastly, joy, dreams fulfilled. But, the person is still scared and careful that the new person / life /... Isn't like the previous one.
