I see both parents prioritizing image, protocol, the the photo op, and if you look back, the mother appears obsessed with image and is constantly correcting them in public. How these young women will ever have a shred of confidence is beyond me, but I realize we only see the public persona, not what happens in private. May I say something? This is not the first video I see where they point out that the heir must be beside the king and the other sister beside her mother… We common people have understood that… how is it that they seem to not grasp the concept themself and have to be corrected multiple times in public? I mean, I would understand if they were toddlers but they seem to be a little bit over 10 years old (correct me if I’m wrong cause I’m assuming from how they look and walk) so they should have been instructed on how to move and where to stand and so on… I understand they are children, I am not blaming them directly but the standard when you have such roles are pretty high so maybe, If the royal family place such importance on placement when walking and during public function as they seem to do seeing as they openly correct them in public, they should instruct them better so they remember where to be… I mean, one of them will be Queen one day so they should royal protocol by heart by now… not trying to be mean but It buffles me every time I see one of this videos so I don’t understand…

It’s probably because they get treated normal at home, but when they’re out in public they have to follow protocol! So they forget sometimes, the king also tells Sofia to sometimes stand next to him so they’re probably confused if the king wants them standing where they are or not.

She’s the successor so in public there will always be acts that will appear as “favoritism” over the younger princess only so the older princess appears as the rightful heir to the throne and develops a rapport with the people. But in this case when they are standing in the rain for the pic, the King breaks protocol by letting the younger one be by his side.
