Alok da, while this particular video is very helpful in instigating the thirst for reading this monumental work, i would request you to do a full series on this work. The young generation is searching for something like this, an explanation. Probably the search hasn't been genuine enough so it is taking so much time to discover this work and as a reaction, youth mostly loose interest and faith in religion, not knowing the truth behind. Never before in my life have i got such revelation on sanatan dharma as on seeing this video. This book is the solution to the present and any future hatred on the lines of religion in India and who else but you, can do a full discourse on this work to help us understand better!

This makes so much sense now ... I always found it weird about Ashwamedha Yagam in Ramayan performed by King Dashratha (animal slaughter). Alok Pandey Ji can you explain the symbolic meaning of the Ashwamedha Yagam in Ramayan Context.

The Vedic lore whose symbolism we often find in the Ramayana, Mahabharata and Purana stories carry invariably a double sense. The Ashwamedha yagya is an offering of the vital energy (ashwa) and the discerning intellect (medha) for purification (yagya). Only someone who had performed this inner purification was entitled to govern an empire and qualify as a Chakravarty Samrat. Of course kingdoms could still refuse to be a part of the empire in which case the would be emperor had to take on the challenge as a kshatriya..
