Yep! This song is PERFECTLY complementary with another war-like song from her, "Warrior". It's almost like if all of us were fighting in a battlefield, "Blood In The Wine" would play in the early morning where there is no sun yet- say, 3 or 4 AM, then "Warrior" would play at 6 or 7 AM, until we'd have won that battle lol. These two songs along with Kate Bush's "Jig Of Life" all very much have a Celtic/medieval feel to them and I ABSOLUTELY love that atmosphere. This is one of my favorites in the album for sure.

I was given a heart before I was given a mind A thirst for pleasure and war, a hunger we keep inside We fell from sky with grace, and life gave us a sweeter taste You can drink, you can feast There's beauty in your beast The flesh in the fruit and the blood in the wine Come on, and feel alive, lover Come on, and feel the love like a sinner Shout it louder, shout it for the ones who could never say 大聲喊出來 替無法說出口的人喊出來 I won't feel ashamed, mother 我不感到羞恥 母親 Can you break the chains, off her? Shout it louder, not a sinner, she's a lover I was given a name before I was given blood Like you were given your faith, before there was made a God Young rivers in your hands and glass burning in promised lands You can drink, you can feast There's beauty in your beast The flesh in the fruit and the blood in the wine Come on, and feel alive, lover Come on, and feel the love like a sinner Shout it louder, shout it for the ones who could never say 大聲喊出來 替無法說出口的人喊出來 I won't feel ashamed, mother 我不感到羞恥 母親 Can you break the chains, off her? Shout it louder, not a sinner, she's a lover Come on, and feel alive Come on, feel the love Shout it louder, shout it for the ones who could never say (louder) 大聲喊出來 替永遠說不出口的人喊出來 I won't feel ashamed, mother 我不感到羞恥 母親 Can you break the chains, off her? Shout it louder, not a sinner, she's a lover Come on, and feel alive, lover Come on and feel the love, like a sinner Shout it louder, shout it for the ones who could never say 大聲喊出來 替無法說出口的人喊出來 I won't feel ashamed, mother 我不感到羞恥 母親 Can you break the chains, off her? Shout it louder, not a sinner, she's a lover

I just love the beginning. I love the native music so much as well and this made the song so heart filling for me.

The first Aurora's song that I have ever heard was running with the wolves a Nightcore version 6 years ago and ever since then I've been under her spell. Every new song amazes me, especially the lyrics. I don't think I've ever seen an artist who can embrace the awkward mess that humanity is in it's true but still beautiful form. Thank you Aurora❤️

This album sounds likes something from my teenager self, like a old new friend. It helped me through this year and my treatment and I will be forever thankful

I hope she someday makes a neo folk album or album dedicated to norse gods that would be so good

@@Boudicaisback I think this is one of those. Listen to the lyrics and it sounds like a retelling of Norse myth. Especially how the primeval cow Audhumbla licked Ymir free of ice.

Before she even sings the words the intro she sings sounds like a war cry, for us to come to hear her and remember our humanity, who we are and that it isn't a sin
