Are you all really sure the video is "Her" art? I think not. I mean, what's the point of eating maggots and then throwing up a grotesque yellow slime on a window that you look thru? Almost like you choose to obscure your own vision made by vial vomit which you again created. How does this relate to the true art She created, that which is the Music and the Lyrics which are her thoughts? It's really hard to relate this video with the song. And I feel thats the problem with most modern music videos. Its like they are touching upon a completely different topic than what the song is touching on and this just throws everything off

@@amenra4668 This video is very clearly Aurora's work, it's her style... The vomit is super shocking and matches the music well when it hits. Since you said that it doesn't relate, here is my take on it -- that we have these streams of thoughts and ideas, something so natural to us. Also notice that when she eats the bugs she says, "When feelings are heavy they become all we are." The bugs could be the raw emotions or things we consume, and them bottling up inside of us to the point where we can't take it any more(hence the throw up, sorry this is disorganized btw, I'm putting my feelings from the video into words as I'm writing...) essentially, the throw up is raw emotions. Later, she is trapped in a box, and over time she starts to strategically use the throw up, or the emotions, into artwork. (also the box could be that those with ideas and imagination are trapped in a box... well I am having difficulty explaining this but tldr as someone who deeply relates to Daydreamer, this music video resonates with me in ways I can't describe. My point being -- this is Aurora's art and it is not like modern music videos, heck, that's probably why it was cut!

This video is far more expressive and artistic than the original released video, I feel like this was repressed for some reason, It's visually stunning! was it because her record deal thought it was too, strange???....I don't understand, these are brilliant visuals!

It’s because there is a lot happening here and the video overpowers the song. It’s like the video takes center stage and the song goes in the background, when it should be the other way around. So this video had to be suppressed even though it’s very beautiful. It was the right creative choice. As an artist myself, sometimes we have to sacrifice the beautiful details in order for the work to function as a whole. In the released version the video makes me follow the song. My brain is not distracted by the visuals.

This is profound, and I imagine Aurora might have felt hurt by those who asked her to release a 'softer' version. But brilliant as she is, she probably understood that such a request meant that, like those who asked her to 'soften' it, there might be fans out there for whom this version could be impactful in a less favorable manner and, as the eternally graceful and responsible empath, she went along with the advice. And now we can all have two versions. I hope she never stops being graceful, and mindful of those for whom a little can be too much. But also, I hope that she never forgets those of us who might need some extra intensity and would always be delighted if she shared her intensity with us:)

This video actually does the song justice! I always felt the released one just didn't... have the soul of the music. This one does. Literally just her real speed dancing makes such a bigger impact over the slomo of the first.

As a 90s kid who was the exact right age when Marilyn Manson was huge.....it's always hilarious to me when people claim certain things are "weird" or "surreal" in music videos these days. Please... Most stuff now is so unbelievably......TAME. As neutered and corporate and homogeneous as possible....because that's what sells to the broadest audience. Most people...don't like art. It makes them feel weird. So yeah...this video is cool imo. And not that weird tbh. Besides, she's been telling us she's a weirdo for like 8 years now. Did people think she was lying..?? ;P * btw....I'm well aware there ARE artists making stuff now that is suuuuper weird and surreal and cool. And I love it. It's just that that stuff isn't in the top 40.....whereas in the 90s, it *_would_* be. The 90s was such a cool weirdo decade itself....

I doubt Aurora wouldn't want this music video premiered, why would she create an entire music video only for it to be removed? The music industry wants safer content, not wilder. Besides, is orange juice/paint throw up really that bad? There's a lot worse things in the world that would be uncalled for. Thinking on your comment though -- I still completely understand why it was taken down. And maybe Aurora didn't end up liking it, like you said.
