This is my favourite version without a doubt. The album is nice but Aurora is an audiovisual experience and she draws you in emotionally into a magical world through a door that she has opened. So happy anytime I see someone float through that door.

One thing you should know going into your Aurora journey, is that her team removes copyright strikes on reaction videos (particularly the music videos, and live performances). You don't have to alter them. She wants her music to be shared. If you ever get a strike on one of her videos, just set it to private and wait.

Hello and thank you for this fine reaction. You have chosen a very good song. AURORA is the queen of harmonies. This is a masterpiece. I find it interesting that the lyrics are so sad (violence in relationships leading to death) and on the other hand the music is very beautiful (harmonies) and doesn't give me that sad feeling. The music is more soothing. This contrast struck me in many of her sad songs. Does she want to spread hope? You can change something. You can't let it get to that point. And then everything is better. An invitation to change something, to change yourself. You have it in your own hands. Is that what this contrast is supposed to do? And let's not forget that this was sung live on a radio station. Many artists want this perfection when they go into a studio and after many, many attempts have recorded their song. And let's not forget that this perfection would not have been possible without her accompaniment and backing vocalist. Silja Sol is also an outstanding singer and musician. AURORA is lucky to work with such good artists. Or is it her ability to choose the right ones? This is also the case with the Murder song at the Nobel Peace Prize concert. Do you know the Disney movie Frozen 2? AURORA is the siren call in the song "Into the Unknown". AURORA once said: People tend to believe quite quickly that something is wrong with them if they're not like the people they see in front of them It's so sad that it doesn't take much for us to really doubt ourselves - Through The Eyes Of a Child (Live at Nidarosdomen) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJSqaq2Kr9icqac - she sang in norway's biggest cathedral - phenomenal acoustics - Murder song (5,4,3,2,1) - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert - kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJmThIqKi9yLrtk - the saddest love song I've ever heard - Lucky (Live at Nidarosdomen) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/d563mqSIZ8SJd9k - the song is her way of suicide prevention - The Seed (Official Video - VEVO) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/lX7GkIKDatSBd5o - it's about the climat change, AURORAS “Earth Song” - Exist For Love (Official Video - VEVO) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYqnnKWAls52qNk - love song I usually prefer her live performances. But in some cases the VEVO video is more impressive. I hope you enjoy AURORA. Three important bits of information I found from another commenter: 1. -- In a recent interview she said "well, the last song I wrote is meant for my 7th album.” - AURORA's latest album, the fourth, was released on January 21, 2022. She's already in the planning for the 7th. 2. -- AURORA was a teen when she answered the question "are some of your songs related (on different albums)?" - it will all make sense when I have finished. - AURORA has a plan and we don't know the destination yet. But it is important to know that everything belongs together. 3. AURORA is holding back one song from every decade of her life to release those songs as the last album after her death. Which artist does that? Have a nice day and Greetings from Germany

lol.....this was fun. Partly because I just _adore_ this performance. It's a masterclass in the _power_ of subtlety and nuance. Hi there ! I just came across this reaction video and loved it so much.... as a German Aurora fan, I can only recommend to listen to more of her live performances. Believe me, you won't be disappointed at all ! But if I had to choose one concert to react to, I would definitely recommend her concert at Nidarosdomen... by far her best and most beautiful concert EVER ! As a first song to react to from this special concert, I would HIGHLY. HIGHLY recommend : "Aurora - Lucky (Live at Nidsarosdomen)" ! She wrote this song at the age of 9 years and the lyrics are so deep and powerful ! It's considered her "anti-suicide-song"... but to be honest, the whole concert is just magical, from beginning to end... everything about this performance is simply wonderful... the setting, the sound, the light, the arrangements (the songs were specially arranged for this event), the instrumentation, the choice of songs.... and Aurora herself. Everything is pure beauty and perfection ! So if you choose to react to this comcert. I would recommend to even do a full concert reaction ! Believee me, you will not regret having put all the effort into it. But if you choose to react to one song from it, "Lucky" would be my first choice ! Best wishes from Germany ; Gerry

But one of the most loved, and for good reason, is her performance of "Lucky" live at Nidarosdomen. Watch that....and you'll want to, NEED to, watch the whole concert. It's hands down one of the top 5 concerts I've seen in my entire life....and I've seen The White Stripes and Tool live, in person. I just saw the Nidarosdomen show in March of 2020 on my laptop with headphones. And it legit changed my life. It's only 1 hour long...but felt like 5 hours, in the best way possible. Aurora Aksnes...live...😀 One thing that strikes me with all of her live performances is that I've never seen her try to really show off, or have any superficial desire to appear the best at this or that. Her only goal always seems to be to deliver (and to share) the meaning and emotions of her songs, in the best way at the time and the venue where she is. This makes her even more pleasant and respectable for me. This gives all the variations and differences that can be found from one performance to another, so don't hesitate to check out privately other live performances of the same songs, which may be completely different (only two or three people like here, or strings and a choir, or a full philharmonic orchestra, or her usual band with synth, or different moods or tempos, and so on...).🙂 Anyway, great and interesting reaction to this incredible little Giant, Aurora.🙂👍

Thank you for your heartfelt reaction video. Ashlena, please just be aware that Aurora has already had a long career. There are YT videos of her live performances back in early 2014 when she was still 17. Through those early years she toured extensively and was often frazzled by the experience. Around late 2016 she got 'her groove going' and really began to connect with her audiences. Then, there was the imposed break during the pandemic, where she produced and performed live online concerts. Finally, there is her last album in early 2022 with an extensive touring schedule which picked up again in 2023 and continues now. Throughout all of the albums, music videos and concerts there are in-studio sessions and collaborations with some other artists. Enjoy!!!

Nice 😊. This is a favorite for many, and definitely one of mine, and her previous backup singer Silja Sol is amazing. Personally I don't think listening to her albums is such a terrible thing. There are some hidden gems that don't get much attention live. I think a few of the album versions of her songs are overproduced (not telling which, as it'll probably anger many 😄), but then she makes a live (or even acoustic version) and it sounds great. The Nobel Peace Prize versions of "Runaway" and "Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1)" are essential early Aurora, but she has many good songs by now. And if you want to listen to something you've already heard, there are great versions of "Churchyard", "All Is Soft Inside" and "Forgotten Love" In her KPEX 2018 set.

Idk if you follow the GENIUS KZbin channel but there are videos of the artists explaining the meaning of their songs, There’s 2 of Aurora on their channel. I also recommend the 2 Billie Eilish videos from that channel too!! Their vocals are just phenomenal in those videos. (Sorry if my English is too rusty)!

I do!! I use their website when I am listening to an album for the first time. I like to read lyrics while listening. I will incorporate the meanings of songs in the future

This song is about rape... Aurora does not need to experience it her self, she has a expanded empathy - so she can live in to every human feeling and experiences - that is a part of her exeptional talent. You can get to know her by watching " .. en gang Aurora" I think its called Once Aurora in english. Thanks for your reaction to Auroras music ! Love it !

I’ve never actually heard/read that it’s about rape (it could of course be). But it was inspired by domestic violence, and in the end she comes back to haunt the one that hurt/killed her
@ashlenamusic Жыл бұрын
WOW. That really changes the song doesn't it.
@peterkoppanyi133 Жыл бұрын
it's about all kind of hidden abuse, emotional and physical
@Ayerstairs Жыл бұрын
I always thought it was about rape, but I believe it's a companion song to Murder Song. I might be wrong.
@lillm6874 Жыл бұрын
@@Ayerstairs It’s not a companion song to Murder Song 😊 While It Happened Quiet is about domestic violence and murder, Murder Song is about mercy killing

@@ashlenamusic What, you remember a comment from two weeks ago? 😱 And I'm a nobody at that. Well, thank you for attaching some importance to my little existence in this vast universe. In return I subscribed to your channel. I'm looking forward to seeing you in another video. If you're interested in Angelina, I can tell a thing or two about her: She was considered a child prodigy; there's a lot of video footage of her live performances on stage since she was 7 years old. Everyone is blown away by the musicality and maturity which she displayed at such a young age. Currently she's 17 years old. Her style and tone are unique, she's inspired by old jazz, pop and artists like Amy Winehouse. As of yet, she doesn't have many originals, but a small album is coming out soon, later this month (June). Thank you for taking note. Have a nice day! 🌈
