BTW, you're absolutely right on your post-assessment, regardless of what language(s) people speak, the true universal language is music itself; it's something we can all share in how the music *feels*. Aurora has a way of transporting the listener to another place -- and remember this is just 2 voices and a quiet, unimposing acoustic guitar that just floats in the the background. Many new listeners of Aurora will stay in this space, whether voluntarily or not, because her music can literally be disorientating because people aren't used to what it is that she does. That experience is completely valid and not unexpected. Despite the simplicity of the song though, there are layers to this, and additional meaning going on here if you choose to read through the lyrics (I won't spoil anything). However you experience her music is valid, and she's crafted her music to allow that general inclusivity.

Aurora is a fairy/angel. Tatiana is a berserker. Floor is a Valkyrie. What is Maria with Heilung? Please watch Anoana and decide. Once again, you are just too pretty. Aurora started writing and singing about age 6 or 8. As a little girl she spent a lot of time in the forest with the animals day and night and has always been special. She was terrified of performing at first but wanted to share her thoughts and music. You can see that at the end of her performance of Runaway at the Noble Peace Prize concert. Her most comforting message to me is in her comments before Heathens at Rough Trade East, London. She dedicates the song to “the Mother who takes care of the people who aren’t welcome in heaven.” Like me. Luv ya!😊❤

Love Aurora to bits, she's just mesmerizing and I love watching her perform. My favourite I think is 'through the eyes of a child' live at Nidarosdomen...simply magical and really highlights her vocal range. The entire concert is magical but that song, wow!
