What she said in Norwegian to the cameraman before leaving tells you all you need to know about Aurora: "Du må huske å ta en pause fra denne tunge kameraet. Hadet!". English:" You must remember to take a break from the heavy camera. Bye!" She thinks of everyone. 😊🤗

That was a nice re-watch, and my favorite live versions of two of her songs 😊. Some of my favorite versions of her older songs are acoustic versions with just her and Odd Martin (sometimes also Magnus), and this version of "Murder song...." is just amazing. Thanks, Ashlena, for doing this and for the shoutout! 👍🤟 I think this concert was a masterpiece, and the only reason it's not mentioned in the same breath as Nidarosdomen is that it only has three songs. But those three songs are all 10/10, and their best versions, IMO. And two of them are among her most popular songs ever. This performance of Murder Song was one of the first things I saw or heard from Aurora, and I immediately knew that I was hooked for life. I could see that there's nobody like her, and I still consider it one of the best performances I've ever seen. It's crazy that she could be that good at that age, while being scared, but I think she was able to set aside that fear by losing herself in the performance.

The thing that always impressed me the most about this concert is her choice of singning Murder song, in front of this audience, at the Nobel Peace Price, far from being a party song, as she never do anything with out a reason, she defintly wanted to bring awerness on either- domestic violence- or - mercy ending life- I wish I could ask her... Thank you 🙂

These numbers were only the 3rd, 4th, and 5th songs I'd heard/seen from her, after seeing Across the Universe and The Seed from Like a Version. In fact, I thought all her songs would be bare bones like these and was surprised to hear some of the more pop elements on the albums. Hearing Runaway will always take me back to listening to it in my car in the early spring when I first discovered her. Whenever I hear the song, I can feel the moist, mild spring air and smell the flowers.

😋 glad you liked; knew you would … I encountered her first without ever even having heard of her on Howard Stern, and he gushed over her performing Life On Mars in the studio for him; the next thing I saw of her was this performance, and it set the bar quite high for me with her, and it’s astonishing how often she clears that bar … BTW, the Bowie version she does alone on the vintage Rhodes organ is my favorite, but what she did on the Stern show was extraordinary (I recommend you go see it) as result, I’ve deep dived into her for several years now.

In my experience when you listen to music in a focused and contemplative way you actually develop a skill of being able to connect to the music in a way that isn't always accessible without practice. It starts to become a form of meditation. Once you open the floodgates the deliciousness magnifies. It can absolutely be disconcerting at times 😮 Welcome to the special club.

I have to say, since subbing to this channel, and joining the discord, I've noticed how many of us are on the KZbin Aurora circuit. I run into you guys on almost every Aurora reaction video. It makes KZbin seem like a small world, and I love it. This concert is really interesting in the sense that many of us aren't used to seeing Aurora as such a tiny, frightened girl on a huge stage. When you think about how far she has come in her performances, it's really amazing. Edit: Interesting story about the Used - One of my oldest friends is good friends with Burt. Every time they come to our city, they call my friend up on stage to sing a couple of songs with them. I'm not personally a fan of the Used or that genre in general, but it was always interesting to see videos of someone I know performing with them.

I really understand head chills. Its like every hair on my head stands up and there is a press behind my eyes and tears is just pushed out. Sometimes so hard that it actually hits my glasses. Mind you, I'm not sad or anything but the emotion is just that strong. Its a very wonderful feeling. Some artist do that to me. Pink Floyd. Kate Bush. Bjork. Peter Gabriel. David Bowie. Marilyn Manson (yes, him to) Jamie Dupuis (fellow Canadian Ash. Look into him) Tears for Fear. Keane. Eminem. A literal plethora of unknowns. But, above them all, for me, stands Aurora. Her music to be sure but that is only half the answer. Her personality is such a part of her music that its impossible to separate the two. Anyway, enough rambling. Aurora looks so much like a child here cos she was, and its been such a joy to watch her grow up. So I'm lucky to be alive. (see what I did there?)

Glad you got to see this, I have seen it before and it is my favorite version of Murder Song. I have not seen Aurora live yet, but when I do it has to be at a concert venue like this one and not the usual tour concerts she did this past year. I can’t take the crowds. Oh, and to your comment about choosing a favorite song - I just can’t. People post in the Facebook groups all the time asking for a favorite or top 5 and I can’t even do that. I have been listening to her for almost 3 years now and songs that were once closer to the bottom of the list (Murder Song being one of them at first) keep moving up to sometimes being my favorite at that moment in time. It's so nice to see a reactor that seriously loves and understands AURORA and her whole being❤. The part when she speaks Norwegian to someone after the interview is to the cameraman. She is worried about him having to carry the heavy equipment on his shoulders. And will make sure he takes a break🫠 I have to defend the camera movements a bit (Sorry☺️). It is from an event that is part of a celebration of peace prize winners. It's not so much about the artists. They're there to celebrate the winners too (A bit like a presidential inauguration). So the production must focus on the event as a whole.

I do not agree with you 😮 My opinion: It was not bad filming. Bad is when you are not good at what you do, but I promise you: the huge camera and production crew are fantastic at what they do. Like a restaurant; the best one in the world can make food you don't like, it does not mean that it is bad. This might be a language thing 🙂. I understand that you might be saying: I don't like the way they filmed it. And that is perfectly ok to think/say 😅. while Conqueror on the tonight show is a great live performance, but it sits badly with me knowing, she only wrote that song for her record company because they wanted a pop hit. and she was basically forced to play it live, ending all her tv spots with it at the time. and she didnt like it. she hasnt played it live in many years because of that. dont vote for that one, imo..

She has since come to peace with it. In fact, in the full Bejing meet & greet, it ends with Conqueror being played overhead, and Aurora is casually enjoying singing along with it.
