The symbolism in this video I swear to god; She takes off the headphones in the forest to be able to listen to all the magical sounds of nature. Then we see her in the city and there's all these annoying sounds of trafic and then we see her put the headphones back on to silence all of the unnatural sounds with her Murder Song. It's almost as if she wants to say that Nature can't be murdered by music but that unnatural sounds that are harmful to our ears should always be silenced and murdered by music. You're right Aurora, I listen to your music to silence the noisy world around me very often. And when I am sitting down by the ocean or somewhere in nature, I usually sing one of your songs to accompany the singing of birds and the breathing of trees. You are one of a kind. I am so so happy to have discovered you in December 2015 when you still weren't that famous. You've shaped a big part of who I am today and you made me be more friendly with insects and you just are a marvelous creature. You also helped me cry my eyes out when I couldn't and you are the only thing that can silence my thoughts when they're too loud they're driving me crazy. I am genuinely blessed to be existing in the same decade as you. I love you. Greetings, love and so much respect from Tunisia.♡ Hope you'd come here one day.. I will keep holding on to that hope.

I am a late-diagnosed Autistic with ADHD (I was diagnosed at 25), and I have felt different my entire life with no idea why. Aurora is the only artist, aside from Nick Drake, who can describe this type of life. With her lyrics, her life experience, wisdom, and sense of wonder. She finds beauty in everything, because everything feels amplified by 10000. In her interview with Lifekeys, she gets into how her schooling experiences were oppressive because she was "weird", not social in a neurotypical way, she was sensitive, and she had overwhelming amounts of energy. She said she would have to take brakes throughout the day and run around her campus so she could go on with the rest of her lessons. I am so grateful to be able to listen to an artist that shares a similar experience and has found a way to put her pain into her art. Thank you AURORA.

I'm crying so bad after watching this. Many people have been sending me Aurora's songs over the past years saying that she reminds them of me, and every time my body refused her for some reason. I guess I felt somehow threatened by it, I didn't know why, so I've avoided listening to her or hearing about her. Now I get it. I used to be very similar to her when I was a child, always in my own world, seeing magic in every corner, but I was raised in a big city and that buried me. I went through bullying all my childhood and sexual abuse when I got older. It has paralyzed me all this years, I can't even do the things I love anymore. Watching her is like seeing how beautiful it could have been if I had the luck of being born somewhere else or with supportive people around me. I honestly love her now. I hope she keeps being the way she is and nobody dares to hurt her ever, because she gives hope to so many people that something this beautiful is possible. She's extremely talented, even though I'm dead jelous of it tbh. At least I hope I can grow to be the supportive person I've never had. I feel it's a little too late for my own dreams. I don't even know why I'm typing all this, I guess I just needed to get it all out, in hope of catharsis. She's so perfect that it hurts.

I'm a 50 year old man, and this young woman has reached into me and reminded me why I love music so much. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and it affects me greatly. I have a rather odd / quirky and weird personality myself. I'm so glad she exists, and that I've come to know her through her music. I feel like much younger man falling in love again the more I see and hear of her. Not in a creepy, stalker way. Real detached love, from a distance. The way that someone who loves flowers wouldn't want to see a flower picked to be given as a symbol, but rather see that flower left alone to grow and exist as it's meant to. Maybe water it and sing to it a bit. I could go on all day about how I've been impacted by discovering your music and your personality Aurora, you've touched the heart of so many, myself included. Please don't ever stop being the beautiful Aurora that you are.

The more that I delve, the more I realize that there is always "more" about Aurora that reveals itself to me. One comment below states that "she needs to be protected from our big bad world" .. As I listen to her, there is this background strength that i didnt see before. Its as though she radiates an innocent naivety, but there is more, her naivety (that we, the listener, seem to see and hear) is not weak. Her impishness and her ability to radiate this art (through song) IS strength. She's not merely another beautiful or engaging texture on a landscape of an all consuming industry.. She is a fundamental that helps allow us all to define, meter and classify it. She is not looking for our protection. She's not afraid. Its a wary audience that should be forewarned, as her enviable youth and talent and charisma can so easily penetrate us. Right here, right now, this is absolutely stunning : )

God I wish I could be where she is, in Bergen. It’s such a beautiful little city. My great great grandfather was from there, attempted to board the Titanic as an attempt to move to America but missed it by five minutes. For years I have felt bound to Norway, and it seems like AURORA’s spirit defines the ancient reckless beauty and mystery of the country. Her energy intrigues me, like she portrays a part of me I so desperately want to release. She chooses not to conform and to be the most magical part of herself. I want to do that more than anything, to no longer feel obligated to conform to this sick society and to just enter the forest, never to come back. Thank you for being you, my love, thank you for inspiring me to be the best version of myself.

And i am so glad that I found her some years ago now :) my first concert with her I cried as she frolicked onto the stage, and I cant wait for my second concert. She has crossed literal mountains and weathered grief with me through her music. I am honored to be alive, and in my early 20's with her, sure now that I am not alone in my feelings.

I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who thinks this, but many people think that sun is happy and rain is depressing. I think very much the opposite. I get so happy when it rains and to be out in the rain because I feel like it is the earth crying and expressing emotion in my opinion is one of the best things you can do. Its okay to cry, and that's probably why i like the rain the most, it sounds so comforting and calming, yet it is the tears of our own planet. It kind of shows that when you cry, or when you express something, it can comfort others in letting them know they are not alone, and I like that :)

I still remember when I first saw this....in March 2020. My work was shut down due to the pandemic. And I was home one evening....and bored. This very video had been in my recommended feed for months, but I'd never clicked. That night, I clicked....and was INSTANTLY captivated. I totally fell in love with her music and her...humanity. The exact moment I knew I'd be a lifelong fan was around 7:40...when Murder Song ramps up with that super cool ascending chromatic chord progression as Aurora dances in the streets of Bergen like the most FREE human being I'd ever seen. Looking alive and free and ever so cool in that black and gold filigree jacket. Something about that moment....the overcast sky, the ascending chord progression, the sheer _freedom_ of her movement, the blissed-out creative exuberance of it all.....just connected with my soul. It actually made me feel the _exact same way_ as when I first saw the music video for Grimes' song "Realiti." That gave me the same _"the world is an infinite wonderland and you're free to do and be and create....ANYTHING"_ emotional vibe. 3 years later....and yep, I'm basically a legit Aurora super fan. It's crazy to watch this now....all these years later. She's had such a huge impact on my life. I'm like 12 years older than she is....but I genuinely look _up_ to her. I never have to read a single self help book.....because I think the answer to a happy meaningful productive connected life is to.....just be like Aurora. She's just....the best. :}

It was around 2017-2018 when I discovered Aurora's music. Someone had posted a video using 'Running With The Wolves.' I was obsessed and found her immediately. She had her first album out. Her music felt like it was fit for me. At the time, I moved to a new school. Every day all I wanted to do was listen to Aurora's album. It didn't take me too long to memorize her music. I felt like I knew Aurora even though she never met. Sometimes I would feel detached by society. One song, one album, one hour of listening to Aurora could make me feel better. I remember finding unreleased songs, interviews, live concerts. Now I always get some sort of deja vu when I listen to her older songs. 4 years had passed of being a Warrior and a Weirdo, 2 albums came out, a role of being in Frozen 2, Runaway gets more popular. When COVID is finally done and over with, I can give her a BIG hug and thank her. She has such a big impact on me and I'm just excited to hear what's next from her.

Since I discovered Aurora's music, the way I see life changed for the better. I remember that since 2017 I had heard about her and her music but I never gave myself the opportunity to listen to her because I thought her music was boring, and it was until January of 2023 I remembered his name and I said to myself I am going to listen to a song by Aurora and it was runaway, from there there have been 12 more songs that awaken in me something that I cannot describe, a peace and many emotions that I cannot describe, without a doubt I regret it of not having listened to her before but it is never too late and now in these moments of my life it has been incredible and for a reason her name came to my head this year to change my life.
@jallen6874 Жыл бұрын
I remember hovering over the runaway Nobel performance and I thought wow this sound seems interesting but my attention was drawn away almost immediately because of something at home needing to be done or perhaps I had to leave my computer at the time. Many months later, probably over a year later actually.. I saw a video short of her singing Walking In The Air at the cathedral concert she did in Norway and it absolutely floored me. I needed to see more and I had to find out more about this young woman that just took me to another dimension. I then saw the runaway video I started to watch some time ago and instantly told myself 'I knew this girl had something special. Something that nobody else has.' I dove deeper and it was almost like a soul awakening. I guess what I'm trying to say is sometimes we hear music and don't fully appreciate it or understand the magnitude of it's power at that moment but then it eventually finds you at the right time in your life and it connects to your heart and propels you to a state of mind that awakens your mind, body and soul. It's inspiring and addicting.

I heard her the first time around 2017 I think and I actually liked it. But I'm not really a radio listener and it wasn't really my type of music so I thought nothing more of it. It started recently with me getting random clips of her on my instagram for some reason. At first I just liked her voice and her personality but then after a while I finally checked her out. One of my best decisions ever. That was one week ago since then I can't get enough of her and I too feel like something in my life has changed. The first song I listened to was Scarborough Fair and I loved it so much. Since then I have listened to so many songs and interviews and I still cant get enough. Her voice is magical because she triggers something in me that I never knew was possible. In almost every live performance I get tears (doesn't happen to me often). She inspires me and gives me so much energy that I think I really needed. I started many things I wanted to do for a long time, like playing my childhood instrument again after so many years or finally learning norwegian. As someone with adhd she also touches that part of me because I see a bit of myself in her and she shows me that it's ok to be how I really am. I don't even really know her but she might be one of my favourite persons I know. What I really know is that I have found something for life!
