Can someone help.me is there a bug on the mission he will not remember this in step 4 there is the shotgun I've looked all over this tiny spot for hours now tried restarting and everything and no go

Hey, Chris! The shotgun is found sitting near the water line. If you are on PC, I would recommend 1. Go into your Steam; 2. Right click on Way of the Hunter in your library menu; 3. Click on "Properties"; 4. Backup your files; 5. Verify the integrity of game files. If and when you have tried these options, and the mission is still bugged, you may have to contact the developers themselves to see what they can do on their end. I know its not ideal, but you're not alone. Several people have had issues with bugs. let's hope they patch it all soon! I hope this helps!

Yea, they are solitary creatures. At the same time, it makes it easier to grow your bears and monitor them! I havent had a chance to see how many need zones for Kodiak there are total, but I would be curious to find out!

Aurora Shores is what brought me back to the game, nice big open spaces and you can hide up in the hills and spot animals from a long distance away rather than stumbling upon them. I wouldd argue the map is easier for beginners but only if you know where to shoot the animal effectively. Crossbow is terrible needs much more effective distance and falloff rate reduction 150meter minimum would be ideal, i shot it once never again feels like a nerf gun.

The crossbow is definitely a you issue I'm sorry to say. No issues taking down tier 5 animals with it at all here. (taken at 40-50m)

Different characters but apparently they have linked bank accounts and have the same weapons? I'd wish they would have gone a different route and allow you to make your own character that would have translated to online play better as well. That'll make the gender argument moot because it'll up to the end player.

That is an understandable opinion! At the same time, the character in the game is still you as the player regardless of which map you are on. I do not think that this was done haphazardly. I am sure the devs had a lot of discussion as to which route they wanted to go when it came to the two styles of gameplay. At the end of the day, I guess they felt like they didn't want the game to be more "grindy" than what a lot of players may see it to be already. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for the suggestion! I think that adding camo would be pretty sweet, but at the same time it is possible to get within a few ft of the wildlife if you're at the right place at the right time! I am no game developer, but I am guessing that adding camo that the environment responds to is a lot harder than one might think. COTW has had camo outfits for years but they don't effect the wildlife in any way.

@@Stagtastic Thanks. Yeah I'm actually back to CotW after figuring out this games non existent mechanics. No terrain masking, no life tracks, no camo, smell's not heaving an affect at all, just the same bubble sense on all animals. It's a shame actually, the game looks pretty nice but after figuring all that nonsense, it takes all the immersion away and that really pulls me off playing WotH. 🙂

I doubt many are complaining just "because its a woman eww." It is more likely that it is just odd to have consecutive maps have the same character, and now there's a new one. I'd bet if the previous 2 maps had separate characters then this wouldn't be a issue for many at all...well less than the very few it seems to be now.

I get your POV! Thanks for the other perspective. I happen to hear and see a lot of folks in forums complaining specifically because the new character was a female. But you're right when you say that those people are in the minority!

Driving is easier and you can dodge more stuff in 1st person vice above the vehicle. For the crossbow, aim to max travel in vitals since no expansion. I have drop shot moose with it and have had no issues with the antlered species, haven't moved to preditor animals other than wolves (also getting drop shots on those)

I didnt think many brands of crossbows or archery were intended for much beyond 50 yds. I trust my ravin well beyond that but that is not a normal crossbow

I am about to start this game an pro end up getting the dlc as well wanna do the base game first an see if it is alright an the dlc has a female hunter!! I'm sold..
