Starvation and apple tree are complementary, perhaps. Apple Tree is about tuning into your own power and living by it regardless of how much impact you can make in the world and regardless of what society sets for you. Starvation is about the impact society has on us, how we sometimes get stuck in a dreadful and empty feeling, it's the poison of this world running within us and the moments we can't feel or see anything besides it. We reach for the knife, we make deals with the devil. We harm ourselves because we are reflecting what society does to our souls - it starves them.

Having watched the official video many times now, I have to say just how impressed I am for Aurora to reproduce the vocals on this small live acoustic set. Very few vocalists can do this. There maybe a lot of techno production on the studio version, but the vocals are pretty much, as is here.

Aurora and her backing sing absolutely fantistic as people have already mentioned, but can we please talk about the sounds Frederik is getting out of that guitar? I don't know what pedals the output is going through, although the boards underneath his feet look as complicated as an organ pedal board. I am constantly impressed by Aurora's continuing explorations of her abilities doing more musical styles, getting increasingly involved in both the percussion and the production of her studio work and of course her voice, but it's clear that Frederik is every bit as vigilant and driven and just as his bag of tricks keeps growing so does his guitar-playing ability. These are some inspiring people.
