Kelli is absolutely lovely here. I totally agree. I feel so lucky that I saw her live in "The Light in the Piazza". It was the only ticket that I bought ahead of time for my trip to NYC. Thanks for posting. :)

Kelli is heavenly!!!!!!! I have already commented on how much I love her. I also like seeing Nancy Anderson. If this information is accurate, she was the understudy for Maureen McGovern in "The Three Penny Opera" with Sting as Mack. From what I remember reading was that Maureen could not sing on the opening night and Nancy Anderson went on stage. If this is the same actress, I think she is perfect for Patricia Clarkson in the movie. The "best friend" who somehow can accept the problem of Cathy's husband being gay, but totally turns cold at the idea of Cathy being attracted and having a relationship with her black gardener Raymond". --Nancy just has that edge to her voice that communicates she can be friends up until the moment she absolutely won't in that time period.

Actually it was Nancy Ringham who opened "3Penny" in place of Maureen McGovern. Ringham also opened the '81 Rex Harrison "Fair Lady" as Eliza when the star lost her voice.

@@auroraspiderwoman5886 Aurora, thanks for bringing me up to speed. In 1981, I was in 9th grade, growing up in Oklahoma & depending only on "Theater World" as my guide. It is interesting that Nancy Ringham fell into that situation twice. I wonder if that dynamic of lightening striking twice happens quite often or not on Broadway. Did Nancy Ringham's door ever open where she was cast as the lead? She certainly sounds like a real trooper. Tangent moment here---I can't go to musicals anymore due to a medical condition but I was lucky enough to see McGovern in "Little Women". So impressed with her stage presence along with that beautiful voice! Truly an excellent performer. Again Aurora, thank you for sharing your video gems with the rest of us. :)

Yes, Kelli was pregnant during this run. By the end of it, she was very pregnant.
