I've always felt these trees as the conscious beings as if they're standing there in their awakened souls .... Their presence was so alive to me that I used to feel them as my silent friends in Auroville. This video is so painful. I'm watching it from Kolkata and I'm feeling so helpless tonight for all the trees, witnessing this deadly event and also for all the Aurovillians who love these trees so dearly but can't or couldn't do anything because of the other risks and threats related to their existence in Auroville. Isn't it illegal also to cut trees in such a manner ?! Dear Mother, Please save Your children in Auroville. They're facing a great danger.

Why does no one stop these cruel treekilling people? A strong community has to be brave and go between the trees and the workers to stop the chopping. Like Ghandi did. Some people might be wounded or even killed, but Auroville would not cease to exist! It's a real pitty to see how powerless the people watching the scenario seem to feel though they are not ...

What a shame to have destroyed the natural environment, oxygen giving trees which have given shade ,shelter to so many birds and wild life. They have brought much needed rain, . Everywhere in the world people are saving and replanting trees .the greedy humans not know what they are driving this beautiful sanctuary in to…. 😢

I'm an outsider but I feel a deep bonding, an intimate and intense connection with the soul and spirit of Auroville from within and that's why I'm feeling very disheartened and disturbed about all these happenings. I feel my love and respect for all Aurovillians because to me, they're all the Mother's children. So, please allow me to express and share with you some more thoughts ... I think, no system is perfect in this world, all the systems are full of imperfections because we, the ordinary mortals are all in a process of achieving perfection which is an unending journey in our finite lifetime but our greatest advantage is that we, human beings can talk, we can speak in a language (unfortunately, trees can't speak, express their pain and raise their voice on behalf of themselves) and we can resolve a lot of conflicts through dialogues and discussions, we can exchange our ideas and views and take decisions accordingly on possibilities or impossibilities, right or wrong, etc.. Perhaps, some rectifications were required in the system, I don't know and I'm not sure but I feel and I'm sure that there is a difference between correction and coercion. In this video, I'm watching a reality that is not giving me a very good idea of strengthening human unity in Auroville. In Mother's Auroville, we need to experience the best of East and West without disrespecting the values and ideals of both. It's hard to create harmony but at least, there was an apparent harmony earlier and our task was probably to make it real more deeply and strongly by nurturing the truths of that musicality in Auroville but now it seems like there is a cacophony-like reality in Auroville, devoid of any music at all. It's painful for us also. I'm only feeling confused and puzzled in my mind whenever I'm asking this question to myself on Mother's Happiness. Was Mother more Happy at that time when those trees were planted with much care and love by the pioneer Aurovillians on this barren land for a lot of valid reasons or now She is more Happy to see the cutting of these trees indiscriminately for building Her (?!) city ?! I hope, some day, I'll be able to find an answer to my question.

From almost zero trees Aurovillians are the people who created a forest there. They are cutting trees in less than 0.1% of the region to execute the development and design as per The Mothers plan. The plan is already created by Mother Mirra in 1970s. There was a deviation by mistake long back in one region. This act is to bring it back to make her original design without which they will not be able to achieve the required overall structure. They created this and they will recreate it in much better way. The people who developed this knows the pain of cutting this much better than us. They will redo this.

In case of some comments, I'm not able to post my replies directly. So, I'm posting it here. I hope, I'll be able to do that here. And one last thought came to my mind that I would like to tell you, my friends (since we believe in the Ideal of Human Unity) who are supporting this cruelty that I've met a lot of friends in Auroville who are either from India or from other distant lands of our mother earth but I have felt all of them together as the Mother's beloved children. I never felt like creating a division among them as Indians and foreigners. And in the case of my friends from other countries, it never came to my mind that they had come to India to possess anything except acquiring the spiritual knowledge and realizing the higher truths. I've felt all of them as the most sincere seekers of the Truth and I always wondered whenever I thought of their sacrifice (leaving behind all the luxury and comfort of their own countries) and spiritual aspirations. In fact, I'm an Indian, I love my country but I've started loving my country more deeply when I met and talked to them. I used to feel and I still feel amazed at their in-depth knowledge of Indian spirituality which many of us, we, the Indians don't have. We are mostly aware of the ugly side of the reality of India as we have to deal with the day-to-day existential crisis in our country and so we mostly talk about the negative truths of India but when I'm in Auroville and I meet all my friends irrespective of their nationality, I feel like I'm in my ideal India now among the conscious beings who have felt India so beautifully in their souls and I'm also a part of them in our journey towards the Truth in Light and Love. It's one of the most fascinating, wonderful and soul-fulfilling experiences of my life to meet my Aurovillian friends and enjoy the world spirit of unity. Please don't destroy it because the trees in Auroville also are awakened in that higher spirit, I'm very sure of it. Thank you. 🙏🙋

I also think that the word 'Foreigner' should be redefined in a land of spirituality, chosen by the Mother. Here, a person's nationality is important only for the official purpose or formalities but his real identity shouldn't be categorised so narrowly by the geographical boundaries ... Then the land/place itself will probably lose its meaning and purpose of existence. Here, beyond the official entry, one's true identity should be expressed mostly in terms of his/her spiritual identity and that is he/she belongs to the Infinite/the Divine Mother. I hope Mother and all my Aurovillian friends (all of them) will forgive me if I've said something wrong or something that they don't like. I'll still pray for the unity (not only apparently but really and truly also) of all of you so that together you can find out a better and peaceful way to solve all the problems and to resolve all the conflicts in Auroville. And the trees in Auroville feel happy again to see you happy together. Thank you. 🙏🙋🏻‍♀️

Toutes les nations du monde devraient intervenir pour stopper ce massacre inutile...! ! Anton and AwareAuroville and BetterTogether, you seem to be noble persons making the building of the city of AV as today's priority. Have you truly studied what the Mother planned and clearly outlined for the Galaxy and how to finance everything? Are you taking up the creation of the Auroville Industrial Corporation, as outlined by the Mother? Your effort to build the city has so far resulted in shrinking Auroville: through exchanging AV land, instead of enlarging Auroville: by buying new land. Because of those actions AV has now become part of the World Crises: politically and environmentally and socially and spiritually. Auroville is not a place for politics, as we all know, and surely not a place for populist policies. Auroville must become a Joyous place of true collective collaboration. Are you sure you are the ones to lead Auroville?
@antarasinha8639
@antarasinha8639 4 ай бұрын
So true! Auroville was not planned for becoming just a stereotyped metro city or even like any other city in India. There was something great, a grand plan by the Mother for creating a space like Auroville. It was created with the noble purpose for a spiritual and harmonious progress of human souls as a collective existence which ensures human unity and I really felt that whenever I visited Auroville before COVID ... It was like a musical place to me. I always used to feel the wind so inviting in Auroville. I used to feel like trees were so happy there that they sang their silent songs and so I felt the wind musically inviting in Auroville. I'm from Kolkata but I used to feel like I belonged to that place soulfully. Kolkata is my hometown, I was born and I grew up here but I never felt like I belonged to Kolkata. To me, returning to Auroville was an experience of homecoming. But nowadays, I do not feel Auroville in the same way. The wind is now full of sorrow and despair because of the anxiety and sadness of the residents and trees. And the whole of Auroville has been changing so rapidly and so drastically that it's painful for me too to witness all those changes in Auroville. It's happening only because of the dirty politics that had already damaged the soul of the rest of India or perhaps the world for ages. The blissful and peaceful power of spirituality helps us move forward unitedly as the conscious beings but the ugly and dirty power game of politics only creates the division among us (as selfish beings) and that is what is now happening in Auroville. The trees are no more happy and so there is a silent cry of their souls in the wind of Auroville which I can feel, from far away.

This is center Auroville, not Greenbelt. Nature grew those trees, not any resident. The only thing we did is guarding them the first few years from the village goats. This planting temporary, now it is finally times for town over forest, finally after 55 years while the World is in Crisis.
@user-jd4oo8hx9s

Incorrect. The avenue trees that have been savagely cut down were offsprings of the great Service tree that overshadows Sri Aurobindo and Mother's Samadhi at the Ashram in Pondicherry, grown from saplings nurtured at Pitchandikulam and planted alongside the crown road by Aurofuture, then in charge of Auroville's urban planning under the guidance of chief architect Roger Anger. Let's stay factual please. Even in the rest of Auroville, the magnificent tree cover is mostly the result of much labour of love, in creating the conditions for the healing of the land and the return of Nature, in this region where the once-lush wild forests had been turned into near-desert conditions...
