i always thought it was weird that there's no footage of them online, seeing as they're one of the more popular crust bands. thanks for putting this up.

why do people make fun of the casualties, their one of my favorite bands. How come not enough bands make fun of nofx as opposed to the casualties.

Ok ok. I agree with you on the modern day poser punk. However, some of us still exist that get it. Our lives don't necessarily suck and we aren't underprivileged. We do things about the shit we don't like. All the "punks" I know don't really dress abnormally. Because punk is freedom of expression. Another "real punk" isn't going to judge you for not have plad pants that have patches sewn on with dental floss.
@Sakitsunebi10 жыл бұрын
Amen brother. Real punk exists in the heart. Its about fighting for what you believe in. Its about unity with your brothers. "He's a different color but we're the same kid, I will treat him like my brother he will treat me like his" -Avenue and Alleyways by Rancid. Rancid is my favorite band. Some will say that they're not really "punk", but if you look at the things Tim Armstrong sings about, it about his own life and his struggles. And he speaks of that unity, and he fought for what he believed in. And I don't believe it get anymore real than that.

This is like 2 years late but thanks bro. I like punk music and always will. I don't not have the punk rock look with vests and homemade patches of whatever bands out there but I do stand for what I believe in. A true punk would help out a brother in need and try to make peace happen in the world. It's all we need

@kingnat2 riiiiiight. you're the kind of person who calls someone a sellout if they get ANY FORM of popularity. I used to think like that, but graduated. How are bands supposed to become known without any popularity? How is punk rock in general supposed to catch on with the kids if it stays where it is -- a few youtube videos with a couple views?

Punk isnt just a type of music. It is more of an attitude. All the old school punk legends moved on to do different things. Doesnt mean they changed their entire persona. It means they progressed which is natyral for Musicians. Take the Band TSOL, probably one of my favs from the genre, every album they released was a diff style. Same for rotten with PIL which was far more interesting than anyhing he was doing with the Pistols.

@yootubesucks123 what's your point? The original members of Crass lost all the rights to the name and label. "Crass" is just another name to put on a t-shirt. The original members are still doing everything they talked about, living on the Crass Farm and what not. Funny thing is the only way you would know if they sold 'crass' shirts at hot topic is if you went in there, to have a look?
@RickDrift14 жыл бұрын
@ramonemeister man i cant bag on em for that warped was a buncha punks when it started it just turned bad, theyre trying to keep warped punk and i might not like hot topic but if some one wanted to hand you a big sum of cash just to give em some of your shirts youd do it

@RoCkThE40ozzzz I just did, and I don't see exactly how they killed punk or how they are just ignorant snobs. Not saying whether they are, or aren't I'm just ignorant to the story. By the way, I know this is off topic, but would you know a few good modern day punk bands? I know a good deal, but they're nearly worn out, I'm curious about a few from this century. I can think of suburban hostage, and red flag 77 and thats all really, Idk how old adolescents are.

Punk isnt what you wear, that's fashion, and to tell you the truth that concept is what ruined the whole thing anyway. Being a punk is just being yourself (an individual) and independent. The original dogma of the whole scene was free thinking and open mindedness. Which is contradicted by the fan-boys who cry-out "sell-out!" if just one thing is different. Ironically for a movement that preached freedom and having an open mind are some of the most hard headed and closed minded ppl alive lol.

@yootubesucks123 Trolling ftw? Punk is a lyfstyle because its more then jsut music. its about starting a community in the underground with people that are sick of they way things are being run, usually with anarcho beliefs, anti-sexism etc. leftest beliefs... You cannot tell me taht the people that have spent their life in the punk culture that squat and live on the streets to avoid the way that their "supposed" to live is just music. but as far as green day n other pop bands, thats just music.

i dont beleive you have to dress anyway to like music, i dress however i want and listen to everything. i think people get too obsessed about the scene and the fashion and firget the music itself. but yeah, you'll look a bit dumb in a tuxedo if you're attending a thrashmetal show. it would be hilarious though.
@Ecocide11213 жыл бұрын
@yootubesucks123 Yea, some do, some dont.Some bands stay underground, play small shows, and donate there money to the community. Mabye look into some anarcho folk punk bands. And it doesent matter if their making a profit off of it, as long as their giving back to the community in any way. of course there arre idiot fans along with idiot bands. but there are also the ones taht are trying to make a diffrience.Take a look into bands like ghost mice. and tell me bands dont make squatin a lifestyle
