Thank you for introducing my book "ACHTUNG PANZER".

Your book? If so, thanks for this excellent work. I got the whole series, incl. the very first Pz. IV issue. I have been using them for years in model building. Just wish there would be an English version, I am not even sure what I am missing by not being able to read the texts. Other than that, I am very glad to have your books in my shelf. Best regards from Germany.
@MitsuruBitoh3 күн бұрын
@@Custer0706 I am grateful that they have all my books. I was able to write this book with the help of three German people. These books were written as a reference for model making, but I have now donated them to the museum to help with restoration.
@Bolththrower2 күн бұрын
@@Custer0706 Take pictures of the text and put them thru google translate. It wont be perfect translations but should mostly be understandable enough to benefit you in your modelling work.

@@MitsuruBitoh Dear Mitsuru San I really agree to Custer0706, you should look if in this times it may be possible to find a printhouse to have an ebook version with English text, the technology to protect this ebooks is getting better these days so you can be sure to sell them ;-) It has been like finding a diamant, when I discovered the first one on a show in UK, back in the 90ties. Today I have all of them except the Tiger issue. I think your way of presenting knowledge it is very helpful for all modellers. THX

I LOVE these digging-through-parts-bins reveals for the same reason as I loved unboxing model kits as a kid. Laying the main bits out on the floor feels just like clipping the big bits of the kit together, to get a sense of the whole and for that little boost of instant gratification that helps fuel a long-haul job. Excellent stuff!

@andreasbeyer98262 күн бұрын
Dears, you asked for the round iron bar at the back of the Pz. II. You can find the information in Panzer Tracts 2-1. In comparison to the first a series prototyps from series b on, the armor (Panzerung) was done with rolled, homogeneous nickel-free steel, that brought an extra weight of 500 kg. At first there were installed Verstärkungskegel on some b (reinforcing cones) to manage physical stress of the hull. When Ausf. B Series No. 24001 - 24569 and 25001 - 25058 came to production the crews had stressed the existing tanks enough to learn that using the tank for sure may lead to cracks in the armour (or welding), so the engineers added a ZUGSTREBE (tension strut) to strengthen the chassis against the strong forces, this maybe used as a backfit on earlier tanks aswell.
