Aussie Odyssey part1

Hi Doug, enjoying the Odyssey thus far. Good to see my motorhome is being looked after in the ornamental park at Hyden. The "white concrete" is not to stop tourists from falling off the wave but was installed by pioneers to collect rain water off the rock. I saw the water collected after I wrote my comment. Hippo Yawn, is just that, a big yawning rock. Anyway, see you further up/down the road. Travel safely.

When I first had ocular migraines, doctors thought it was a ministroke, but the MRI showed exactly what you said - painless, visual migraine without any sign of a stroke! Enjoyed this video. Silent peace in rural settings! Good medicine! Those fees are a bit of a rip off though! $30!! Just to sleep near a rock!!!

Thanks Kris. The migraine went away not long after I got back to my campsite as I knew it would. I think sitting in the car for long periods doesn't help. The $30 is a bit of a rip off! The shire council charge people $7 just to park their cars at the rock too! Tourism eh?

Yes, wave rock is a popular tourist destination now. WA has some very interesting rocks. My Augustus to the north is the largest rock in the world, apparently. Bigger than Ayers Rock. Albany where I live has Dog Rock so I guess one could safely say WA 'rocks!' hahaha!

It's good to see you about again. The beast sounds a lot quieter, and hopefully your fuel consumption is better than the 7.98 km/l ( I recall from your home trip from Brisbane). Have you learnt how to use the CB yet? Stay healthy Doug.

The beast had new injectors & exhaust manifold fitted & consumption is really improved this trip Reg. Only used CB once but is handy for hearing what is going on. Great to hear from you Reg, stay well.
