I know this is about the trailers, but kudos to those little Frontiers. I can't believe they weren't even the Pro4X trim. Highly underrated small trucks. I love mine.

I used to tow campers on trips with the guys from 4WD24/7 10 years ago. This was just another day at the office for me in the Frontier lol. Steve

Gnarly trails for trailers! All the Frontiers need is a little help from Old Man Emu to become perfection towing off road - Mine is set up to set level with the trailer hooked up and the rear locker on the PRO4X is indispensable

FINALLY!!! The video I have been waiting for, and then you leave us with a cliff hanger. Good editing and production. Great narrator. Also really like the fact that you guys are using F150 and Nissan Frontier showcasing mid size and half ton and what they can do, especially stock.

Now this is the type of videos I love to see. It appears that the most limiting factor is not the trailer but the tow rig and tight switch backs. I am looking forward to finding the limits of my X 195 this summer after I get a more capable tow rig.

Thank You for posting the Nissan it is truly underrated and a great run for the money. Also the Nissan Patrol/Armada is a beast! Looking for a project to start since last year of the beastly 5.6L Nissan V8. Parts from Dash 4x4.
@campertrailers44987 ай бұрын
We have 2 x Armada/Patrols in our Aus fleet. Vaughan’s is a beast, lift, 35’s, air bags, sliders and a nasty tune. Real head turner in traffic and eats rock steps. Anya’s is a 300 series Landcruiser and she can really wheel that.

I thought that these suspensions had air bags, guess not. Do they make air suspension, for those with double wheels on each side, where you can isolate and adjust each wheel suspension separately? That would really help in climbing some of these obstacles.
@ROAOffRoad7 ай бұрын
No, these are independent but no airbags on the MDC units. They are very capable as is!

No, they are all independent suspension with coil and gas shocks. 😀

Must admitt I would never pound my trailer like that but I know your testing these rigs and the suspension seemed to perform well. Just out of curiosity how did they do inside? Did frig door pop open or any gear scatter about? Off topic question. We're is Michael? I hope all is okay with him. I know he hurt his knee in that one vid you guys did..
@ROAOffRoad7 ай бұрын
Nothing fell out that we recall… the cabinets lock up nicely. Michael is well. Just at home resting. 😊
@campertrailers44987 ай бұрын
Fridge doors stayed shut and have a secondary lock for off road. All the latches are made for off road so cabinets and drawers stay shut. Anya and I did a trip for television as soon as we got off the plane back in Aus and drove some very steep steps. I left most of my stuff on the bed so at the end of one track all my clothes and pillows were at the rear door ha ha.

@ROAOffRoad7 ай бұрын
You are wrong. They air down all the tires at the trailheads
@campertrailers44987 ай бұрын
I have a calibrated stick I deflated with. Funnily enough all 4 tyres were within 1-2 psi of where I guessed with the stick on the Frontier.
@bartman18577 ай бұрын
To truly test these trailers to see how they hold up to this kind of pounding would be to take the same units out every month for a full year and then see if you can say we had no issues. I would imagine encouraging folks to use thier 75k rigs like this might stress your warranty department. I know all the world's a stage but if all your customers treated thier trailers this way you might regret this marketing strategy
@ROAOffRoad7 ай бұрын
We say multiple times to not attempt this type of stuff. We are always clear that we are testing.
