I just downloaded your January Color Club pack!! This is such a good idea thank you for making it a thing!!! :D I love color alongs so much because it takes the stress away from having to pick my own colors and worrying about if it'll look good or not! lol

@@rjhampson Agree, that was a brilliant idea. While most artists would expect you to buy every book, this is a wonderful resource for those who just want to follow along with the videos. Plus they can be printed in a different size or on different paper.

Hi RJ! This image is so lovely! One of my favorites... watching you color it in and learning about the animals was amazing. I was Googling a baby wombat! I am looking forward to seeing what you do next! Thank you for sharing!

Thanks Katy! Those animals are so cute. You have to find the video of the baby wombat running with the ranger, it's the best.

I am so glad you explained this because I'd never have known what all the animals are! Tell me if I got it right. Along the gum trees, clockwise from lower right: crocodile, wombat, ring-tailed possum, koala, Major Mitchell cockatoos, superb blue wren, sulphur-crested cockatoos, sugar glider, koala, kookaburra. In the water: echidna and platypus floating, wombat in the boat, kangaroo on the skis. Also, thank you for explaining the corks; I've been wondering about those ever since Monty Python did the Bruces, lol. I am really enjoying these color-alongs. I can't believe you don't have more views than you do. Hopefully they'll catch on, because they're well worth the watch, IMO. Thanks again!

Hi Rj have been sent across from “ Lucy just adds color “ and wow love your coloring ! Am going to have to go and look through your videos and do some color alongs. Am starting with this first Aussie summer as I’m an Aussie from Melbourne. ❤️😎
That was fun and really informative. I saw a youtube video recently of a lady cutting her grass in Texas when a big snake fell out of the sky and wrapped itself around her arm. If that wasn't enough to put her over the moon, a hawk swooped down and started fighting with the snake. Her arm was ripped to shreds. It's the stuff of nightmares.

That’s a wild story! I hope the lady is okay. sounds like the eagle was doing the snake drop trick or do snakes fall from the sky in Texas? 😳

I adore these color alongs! Thank you so very much…this is a new approach for me with the markers followed by pencils. Do the polychromos work because they are oil-based?
@rjhampson15 күн бұрын
Thank you, glad you are enjoying them. I use polychromos but the prismacolor (wax based) seem to work as well, sometimes they work better when using a lighter colour. I was using Inktense recently and activating them with colourless blender which went well. Use everything - see what works! 😊

Great job what are you using? I noticed there was no bleed through and you seem to have a lot of colours. I mostly use pencils but this looks good. I am in Victoria Australia 🎉 Happy New Year I have all your books, I have a daughter Jill and recently enjoyed colouring Jills Grill in Pirates. Intrigued to see what you come up with next 😅

Thank you! Always fun to draw Australian animals. I used lots of mediums and they are listed in the video description, so check them out. I always use an acetate or card sheet behind the page, especially if I use alcohol markers, to stop bleed through. 😊

Thanks for sharing this video. It is helpful for my coloring journey. Are you using an Ohuhu alcohol-based marker or a water-based marker? What do you think is the best one for basing? Thank you.
@rjhampson15 күн бұрын
Thank you! I like the alcohol markers best - I think the water ones can warp the paper (though I haven't used water based too much).
@missm45719 күн бұрын
Can I ask what tip you are using with the Ohuhu markers please?
@rjhampson19 күн бұрын
I am using the Art Markers with 2 tips (one each end). Fine for detail and the chisel tip for block color.
