I have a really urgent question but idk if you can answer it and Idk who to ask. Basically, I contacted a breeder on Facebook regarding Aussie puppies. They’re registered as a pet service and through messenger, I picked a puppy and have been getting updates on his growth since he was born on March 15. Now the breeder is saying she’s really attached and wants to keep him. Even though I already paid a $100 deposit to keep the breeder from selling him to someone else, and I have screenshots of the messages where she states she will notify me for a pick up date and that she would sell me the dog. As a breeder yourself, do you know if this if I have any rights to the dog? I know this might be out of your scope but idk where else to ask

Because you already have payments she can’t keep him/her or she would have to give you your money back

I hope you got your money back! There are puppy scams out there. I'm not saying the breeder you mentioned is one of them! But if she's legit she would had given your money back if you didn't get the puppy.

UPDATE: I was able to purchase the puppy. He is a red tri Australian Shepherd standard size cropped tail. He is the love of my life. His name is Archie. He has green eyes. He’s so amazing and he is my best friend. He scared me two week into having him. He was throwing up and pooping blood. Took him to the emergency vet and everything and he tested negative for Parvo so thank god. $1000 later and after all those x rays and tests he is perfectly fine and a very healthy boy. I signed up for AT LEAST ten years of an unconditional and unbreakable bond with a best friend and I’m just so thankful that it wasn’t cut short. Id pay any amount of money for him. I would die for him. Quick question for anyone reading: the vet says he’s due to get neutered soon. He just got his 6 months rabies shot. I’ve been hearing more and more people coming out saying the closer to 1 year old is best. Is this true in anyone else’s opinion? Should I wait until 1 year to have the operation?

Jules I’m so happy you were able to get him! That’s an amazing story. 💕As for the neuter surgery, it’s better to wait until the 1 year mark. It’s not impossible to do it earlier at 6 months, but it’s healthier for the dog if you wait. Especially Aussies. Best of luck!
