Strewth! A bit of fair dinkum 'strayan goin' on :) Oi Oi Oi! Shoulda chucked in "sweet FA" with the F-all one! Time to go and put some dead horse on my 4'n Twenty! True story when I was in my 20s (back in the early 1990s) -- an older couple I was friends with, the husband was a professor at Melbourne Uni and they hosted some Swedish girls for the summer university break (no kidding)... so I got to take them around Melbourne doing some touristy things for a couple of weeks, very fond memories! Anyway, they both thought when they arrived in Aus that they'd find Koalas up every power pole in the suburbs, hahaha. I did warn them of course about drop bears -- and my former job shooin' the roos off the Westgate Bridge (couldn't use Sydney's old coat hanger down south of the Murray!). I was kind to them though -- I let them know "root" didn't mean to Aussies what it means to Yanks!

Hahahaha what a classic story mate, love it 😍 Poor Su struggles daily with my Aussie lingo but funny explaining it to her and she is such a good girl and loves hearing the explanations on our slang, now she has started using it on me 😬👍

Mate, even though I am from West Brom originally, I have been in Oz for 48 years, I use all of those phrases ! But surprised you missed out ‘Dick head’, one of my favorite terms used often when talking about Australian politicians 😂 And then there’s ‘Moll’, that’s a beauty too.
@goodvibespattaya28 күн бұрын
They are my favourite too mate, Manu uses Dick Head quite a bit but I will tell him about Moll, plenty around here 😂 Thanks cobber
@deanontheinterwebs27 күн бұрын
I think I'd use "dick head" at least 50 times a day!

What a ripper! By the way there's also the Aussie pronunciation of Pattaya i.e. - Paddy-Ya (Oz) versus Pat-tay-yah (Thai).

Mate a good and funny video but if you were to say all the slang words we use the video would last for hours. Its a pity we cant use some of these expressions these days because people are easily offended and cannot take a joke. I'm 72 and used to talk Australian slang all the time when i was young but don't use it much these days cause most people wouldn't understand it. If you want a good laugh and are not offended by swearing listen to a Keven Bloody Wilson song and there a plenty on KZbin. I'm coming to Thailand around March April and from following your videos i like the look of like Bang Saray. Does your ebook deal with just Pattaya or does it apply to Bang Saray as well. Cheers Daz
@goodvibespattaya28 күн бұрын
Thanks mate, yeah there are so many great words us Aussies use and it’s a shame how delicate some people are about words these days. Yep anyone watching who wants a good laugh check out Kevin Bloody Wilson, Rodney Rude and Carl Baron. Mate the e-book covers a little of Bang Saray just in terms of hotel, agent etc. Have a great day cobber and thanks 😊

@@goodvibespattaya Hi Jason i want to buy your e-book mate because when i come there i want to rent through an agent so that alone will be most helpful. Can i buy your e book with my debit card the same way as i buy you a coffee cause i don't have pay pal. Do you have a wise card for paying for stuff? If you do would you send me your affiliate link please or if you have a better suggestion i would be truly grateful. I've heard from a couple of guys that even though you tell your Westpac Bank you are travelling overseas there can be problems using you card in other countries like freezing and other shit. Thanks mate and don't forget to check you coffee pot today. Cheers Daz.
