Thank you for your contribution in keeping Australia beautiful. You boys have actually inspired me to do a small clean up after bin day, because it doesn't matter where you clean up but more importantly that we all do a clean up where we can.
@stevenloynds36914 ай бұрын
Welcome to my backyard...thanks for cleaning up after others...I can only hope that wasn't from our locals ....more then likely blow ins that can leave and not need to see it later....People if your going out bush especially someone else's backyard take all your crap with you...I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate if someone dumped rubbish in you house....with continual dumping of rubbish access to these places will be closed even to the locals that regularly take advantage of these awesome locations....I just wanna add if your not equipped for off grid camping and you like your toilets, hot showers there is a free camping ground in Wallerawang called Lake Wallace 14km from Lithgow it's completely free no need to book just rock up pick a spot...it's also dog friendly with off leash area electric BBQs and kids play areas....

Still loving the ongoing storytelling, you just keep getting better. You guys showcase so much of SE Australia that a lot of people wouldn't even know about in addition to all the classic 4WD tracks. Lucky Country indeed. If you guys ever do the Otways, Melba Gully glowworms are mental as well. Stars above and the worms below.

Hey lads great episode! Just a note ; if you're encouraging people to visit the glow worm tunnel, let people know to try and avoid using torches as it negatively impacts the glow worms. Too much artificial light impacts their feeding and mating. The population of glow worms was definitely a lot smaller when i last went, compared to when i first visited the tunnel when it wasn't so well known.

As you discussed, Lithgow had the small arms factory throughout conflict of WWII. Therefore Lithgow was a prime target throughout the conflict. That's where the pagodas of the lost city came into play. Of an evening, Lithgow would be blacked out, hidden from an air strike, but as a decoy those pagodas would be lit up, hence a decoy city of Lithgow should a air strike occur. Lost City an appropriate title.
@AussieArvos4 ай бұрын
Woah, that is really interesting! oh wish i had of mentioned that in the video! Thanks Ian!
@ianweal30814 ай бұрын
@@AussieArvos Yeah, I was fortunate enough to go out that way one weekend with a local historian, he mentioned a lot of stuff I can't rightfully recall but that stuck with me. Back in those days, things occured hastily & quick, for good reason, our survival. Just try to Imagine the red tape & hoops to jump through to illuminate pagodas in a conservation park these days. Example: 'Oh the brown faced nocturnal hooting owl will be confused, no no, that can't happen'. Obviously I'm being sarcastic but we can learn from history too, it occurred and we survived it, even maybe the brown faced hooting owls I used as example, haha. Does it exit? I don't know. Wealie.
