Ottomans are not broken at all. Sure they are stong in late game, but the slow unit production in early game and no good defensive buldings make them volnurable for a lot of stuff. It just looks strong in your game, because most of the players in your FFA lobby are way below your skill level...

Playing AI will not get you ready for online play, however a casual game with AI could help practicing the hotkeys a lot imo

AoE 1 ... the tutorial was very slow, I didnt realize it was slow. Build TC now build 1 house, 1 stables etc etc. I played untilI could beat the game vs computer THEN got online. This was in AOL time, 1999? 2000? Soooo, first game that I had a partner, HE had 5 barracks .... THEN it hit me.... you can GET more buildings,I had no idea. I learned a lot by just sharing a map with a team. Games online were totally new. We even had Windows 95, I played on a laptop with a "air card". There were 7 hour matches.

The devs have actively ruined and made this game worse with every update. I've been forced to buy this game twice, never had access to any update, and still can't use the "new" civs, and old civs are obviously worse than the new civs. Some of the "new" civs are literally just the old civs with upgrades...so how is this game not pay to win now? Some of the worst decisions from this team were made, especially for an RTS. A pay to win RTS??? Sure...that makes sense...meanwhile, your customer service has ignored me and shrugged me off. What a disgrace of attention to detail and quality service to those who have paid their hard-earned money to play your game. What an absolute disappointment over time. It just keeps getting worse and worse. No shame, no remorse, no attention to detail, and certainly no class.
