I'm harassing on feudal and attacking on Castle and only moving to imperial if I feel like I need a better advantage. You have no keeps to lock down areas, the longer you play the worse it gets.

it's important to try new stuff and see how many corners you can cut to come out ahead. For Mongols i just can't see the point to rush Imperial to be honest, they don't get game-changing tech there. But for some other civs fast imperial does work

Magudai suck until castle. Typically you want to open stables or use a mix of archer spearman or cav archer.

tbh I've felt that way since the start. I don't mind gamed being shorter, but I'm a little sad that there's no room for drushes at all - the dark age is almost exclusively about getting the civ advantage. That said, feudal was the "short age" in AoE2 a lot of the time and I wanted that to be a little longer too, so I think this is the right trade off. Feudal in AoE4 is great

Put pressure on your opponent is the counter. Most games I play are over in 15 minutes. If I have to go imp I feel like a failure lol
