One year ago I decided to leave Brazil and go to Australia and since then your videos and podcasts have been more than just learn English, you encouraged me to commit with this decision, besides the hard times I faced. Thank you very much! I've been living in Sydney for 6 months now and I couldn't be happier. I hope one day we can have a chat (maybe in Portuguese :D) and maybe have a roll in Jiu-Jitsu. Cheers mate!

I totally agree with you. I think the most difficult thing is to KEEP leaning, but curiosity always makes it easier.

Hi Mate! First of all, thank you so much for recording more and more videos, they are really interesting. They constantly make me think a lot, especially when it comes to learning a new language (in this case the English language). But, one of the main reasons why I´m writing this, is basically because while I was watching this video, I was thinking about the fact that you´re completely right. I mean, what you have explained it; my interpretation was that English is a powerful tool to keep moving our lives forward, that it will help us to achieve important things, because, when we understand that English is a powerful tool for communication, we comprehend that this is a beautiful gift to some extent, that this language is phenomenal because of two main things; Firstly, as you said earlier, we can have access to essential information, and secondly, because we are able to meet amazing people. Therefore, these two important things will help us to learn new information, to be more prepare in the future, to have better job opportunities, to make more friends, and most importantly it will help us to learn new skills throughout the time. Unfortunately, not everyone has the chance to do this, and as English is becoming more and more Global, the people who know how to communicate in English as a second or third language, they´ll tend to be more successful. I don´t think this can be a pattern, however, that´s why I think we need to work extremely hard if we want to master this language, because learning a new one isn´t easy, is sometimes exhausting, is painful, and really diffcult. As we all know, this is something that requires a BIG-time investment, but if you´re willing to make big sacrifices in your daily life, at the end of the day they will be worth it. I hope this comment can be very useful for anyone who wants to succeed learning a new language. That´s basically what I´m doing now, and something that I´ve done for quite a while, due to this is one of the main goals that I have in life. Thanks mate you´re awesome. Have a great day. Tony.!

Thanks so much for this. I am an EAL teacher in the west of Melbourne and am teaching a Pre-Lit Adult migrant class - love them, love them - as well as some Course and Cert 1&2 AMEP/SEE. I am so glad I stumbled on your videos recently. I really wanted authentic Australian content and your videos have been great for so many portions of my teaching and lesson delivery. I am learning so much from you too as I am fairly new to this role and I just want to thank you for that. Regarding this chat about using an area of interest to expand learning English opportunities - well, that is absolutely spot on. Thanks again (looks like you were driving near my part of the woods too, fabulous part of Victoria).

@@AussieEnglishPodcast Hey there, I am from Geelong, and grew up in Ocean Grove (yaaaay) and then Papua New Guinea. Family now in Grovedale. I am in Point Cook now but really wish I was back in Sleepy Hollow!!! Truly do love your channel. Thanks so much for the quality uploads and content. I have used your videos a fair bit in class and all my students think they are great too. We have a laugh at some of the Aussie pronunciation because I do try to teach them "how we say it" as well as "how we spell it" because I feel it is so important that they gain an ear for what is said in conversation in the real world. Thanks for replying too! I am "stoked". hee hee

First and foremost, Incredible, outstanding job you're doing every single day, Pete. I couldn't possibly agree more with every assumption that you made. By-product english studying or practicing something that you have a penchant of. I accidentally knew of you through an interview with christian from canguro english. AMAZING BOTH. Im spanish guy who are really passionate about learning english because its an enormous tool to develop or enhace everything surrounded in daylife. I lived in ireland from 2014 to 2016, best decision ive made in my life i met my girlfriend in an english classroom of Galway (spanish girl has to be ahaahah) but was love at first sight, real rapport. We've been creating a great habit since back then separately because she decided to move out to Australia, firstly Melbourne one year, then when i visited her we travel across the country mainly the eastern coast toward brisbane. Last step where my girl settled down for 1 year more and i came back to spain once again. Finally We established some kind of root in Madrid ogether for 2 years since mid 2018. Getting on the point of learning, regardless of staying in spain never never never dropped out to grow english. i regularly study environmental science, electrical engineering, introducing myself in the automotion field with youtube, following channels mainly electric vehicles, i ran into the podcast world, i continuously feeding the knowledge in English. Such a marvelous way to develop a hobby. To deep dive into the processing of information. I concurred of everything in this video. We must be curious and strive as much as we can, it's not an alternative should be an obligation as human being, not being a couch potato trying to dissipate the fear, anger, irritation and desperation watching tv. Because of this enquirement iam gonna have the chance to be interviewed by a multinational company about sustainability. Honestly speaking the english is crucial in our lifes, in Spain you can't promote to any high-rank job in the entire life. Thanks a million to bring inspiration through this channel and podcast. If you wanna contact me personally to interchange some thoughts. jp.guldris@gmail.com

Something exclusive ! I experienced "Aussie accent" for the first time live last night.CQ university's dean and head-persons of departments visited Ceylon for a seminar ,His excellency high commissioner for Sri Lanka also was there. They were very humble .But what a scary moment ! that accent was notoriously hard but I kept my focus and picked most of the talk .Please please, give some tips to improve listening .Feel like listening is the most important part of em.

Thank you very much for this monologue. Do you call this a monologue? There are really a lot of resources in English. Even people from non-English speaking countries make videos in English, which is good for us to get accustomed to different accents as well.
