My favorite season 1 episode. Not much plot, no “big” message. Just beautiful animation, wonderful music and adorable time with our favorite adorable Blue Healer. Its just a vibe.

This is what I like to call a *vibe* episode. It has no strong themes or deeper implications, it's just a cozy episode to just take in the beautiful music and scenery. One of my favorite episodes of the first season and an easy overall Top 20 best for me.

My favorite part of this episode is that, whenever Bluey gets afraid, she looks for her mom's footsteps to guide her. Just a sweet reminder that parents lead by example and that kids are always watching to learn how to navigate life ♥

the zinc sunblock is similar to how coppertone kids colorblock works...it rubs on purple but fades away over time which lets you know when to reapply it. they also make a green one as well. my theory for the in universe bluey books is that maybe in their spare time the heelers use a service that helps kids make their own books. my mom used one to make a picture book with our dog. this also makes sense since we see some references to bluey possibly becoming a writer in some episodes.

I love the scene with Bluey and the jellyfish. I was taught as a kid to not go picking up rocks or moving dead logs because of the possibility of copperhead bites, but I still did it anyways because I wanted to see what I would fine underneath. I feel like her poking the jellyfish signifies that despite knowing the jellyfish is dangerous, and knowing not to touch them, she is just a curious kid! I've never seen a jellyfish in real life before because I'm landlocked, but I think if I saw one, I'd be a little tempted to give it a poke, too.

I've lived on two seaside states, and jellyfish are so fun to poke! A few times I found some still alive, and if you pick em up by their sides, you can put em back in no problem!

When I was six my family went to the beach (we go every year), but this time was different. There were lots of dead jellyfish lying around on the sand so my mom told me not to go near them. But when I was in the water at about 5 inches deep, I look at my leg and there was a jellyfish stuck on me! I immediately smacked it off and told my mom. Luckily it probably was dead and I was completely fine.

i never questioned the "face paint" i just thought that was special sunscreen to get kids used to it because it's like face paint. But wow, kinda wanna get the pink zinc (in Canada but I'm a redhead so I burn easily (plus i could put some on my arm in a heart on a day i don't wear it and when it comes off i'll have a heart tanline)

I actually used Zinc as a kid here in the US. We used specific colors of it when we did summer competitive swimming. I haven't seen it much in recent years, but glad to know it is in use in sunny, sunny Australia.

I like that this showed that alone time is really precious too! I like taking trips by myself. I just took a ten day adventure to the coast all by myself and it was great. I still like vacationing with friends and partners, but theres something great about choosing to spend time with youtself as well

I give this episode a 5 out of 5 long dogs. The soundtrack was pure perfection. This episode gave the most realistic feel out of all the episodes because of the sunscreen and because bandit stuck his tounge out when he was concentrating.

In the mid-late 1980s in the States, colored zinc was briefly a thing, it was called "Zinka", and I remember getting some when I was younger. I even remember the commercial. Then, they just disappeared. However, I looked on the web, it still exists.

I thought this episode was great and I would also give it five of five. One thing that I did notice that was kind of canine characteristic, when Bluey was a little bit scared and walking down the beach, she tucked her tail until she gained her confidence and continued her journey.

Even at the beach they don’t wear swim suits, you know some cartoon animals usually walk around without any clothes on, so when they do wear trunks the boys still feel like they are still wearing a shirt, while the girls feel like they are wearing swim suits over there clothes

Margie, might it be interesting to talk about the episode 'Army' next, which introduced Jack Russell? I have deduced the idea that the episode, which also featured Rusty, was originally written with the incentive that Rusty's arc with his returning dad was to have been the bookending device, and that Jack's family scenario was intended to have been key focus of a cancelled episode that followed up 'Army', and would have suggested the idea that Jack had been bullied at his previous school. The resolution I thought would have bridged Chilli's connection with her dad Mort in the episode 'Granddad', meaning Jack learnt to accept his situation with the moral support given to him by Chilli. I've never ever seen the jelly fish scene before this video (it's prolly bc I watch bluey on Cbeebies) but I think there was another scene from a diffrent episode that was cencored on Cbeebies. Well… actually…. In the original story of the little mermaid she didn’t have a time limit. Instead if the prince didn’t reciprocate her love for him she turn into sea foam. Which happens when he ended up marrying the girl who he thought saved him.
