If you feel like you should be hitting the ball further, you are probably right. Many golfers try so hard to generate power and speed but just can’t seem to make it work!
This 3-step process shows you how to build an Easy, Free-Flowing Golf Swing. This process will help you swing faster, with less effort and less chance of injury.
Tension is probably any golfer’s most destructive influence, from the beginner to the PGA Tour Professional. We all let it worm it’s way into our golf shots from time to time. Learn how to free up your swing and start to hit the golf ball the way you want to!
An efficient golf swing looks easy and effortless and that’s because it is! The harder you try to generate force and hit the ball a long way, the more, likely you are to lose clubhead speed, become frustrated and even injure yourself.
It’s as Easy as 1-2-3.

ABOUT AUSSIE GOLF PROS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Steve Gannon and Glen Haynes created Aussie Golf Pros to provide a learning platform for golfers of all levels. They post content regularly on social media accounts.Their website, www.aussiegolfpros.com, includes blogposts, golf coaching series and links to great programs. New content, videos and downloads are added regularly.
Golf Coaches, Not Teachers
The Aussie Golf Pros are holistic coaches in every sense of the word. Steve and Glen are both fully qualified members of the PGA of Australia and are avid students of the Sports Sciences. Together, they are certified in Advanced Golf Coaching, Golf Psychology, TPI (Body-Swing Connection), NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), Personal Development and Skill Acquisition.
Steve and Glen are not ‘Method’ coaches. They recognise that there are literally 1000’s of ways to swing a golf club! Rather than try to ‘change’ your swing, their goal is to help You Be The Best Golfer You Can Be!
Skill Development vs Technical Changes
Although technique is an important factor in improving a golfer’s performance, Skill Development is largely neglected in golf coaching today. Skill is something that can be tangibly improved with proper understanding of the golf impact laws and effective practice towards improved performance.
External Focus of Attention
Most golf teaching involves an internal focus. Common suggestions might include increased hip turn, a still head or improved hand path. These are all factors of the golf swing, which many golfers and teachers consider important. However, as they are focused internally, on movements of the body, golfers find changes extremely difficult to process.
Enter the world of External Focus of Attention. This means that instead of focusing on body parts, a golfer can and should focus more on the target, the ball, the clubhead - objects which are external to the body. The sciences involving Motor Skill Learning have proven that by employing an External Focus of Attention, sports men and women learn new moves more quickly, retain changes more readily and can perform better under pressure.
All of the Aussie Golf Pros coaching, drills and advice for clients and viewers, involve an External Focus of Attention and the results can be astonishing!
1. Relax hands to 3/4 out of 10. Wrists active and mobile 2. Turn with core. Rotational energy from the ground up. Turn through ball. Turn with hips and shoulders. Belt buckle turning both ways. 3. Feel the heavy end of the club doing all the work
Hi Glen. After years of struggling to make consistent, powerful contact I have tried to put your 3 steps into practice recently. I can’t tell you how pleased I am with the results. Your emphasis on relaxation and rotation has made a massive difference. I am hitting the ball better than I have ever before. My handicap had drifted out to 18 and now 6 weeks later I am knocking on the door of 12. Shot my best ever score of 76 (47 stableford points) this week. Your videos are the only ones I watch. Thank you so much for your content, especially this particular one.
Great instruction Glen. You are very generous with your time and expertise. To create lag in the downswing, do you consciously drop the club head at the top of the downswing?
Love it, Glen. What you say validates a feeling that has returned my game to where it once was ( 3hdcp ). That feeling, or sensation is one of leaving the club head behind throughout the entire downswing. It is only possible by incorporating light grip pressure and correct body rotation, as you instruct. I wasted a great deal of time working with an impact bag, which brings you to an abrupt stop at impact. I have read where the ball is simply collected as we are turning through to the finish. And all through this process it is as if the clubhead will never catch up, it will ! Of course the obvious caveat is correct fundamentals such as proper set up, alignment, grip etc. Thanks again, Glen.
Just found your site and you certainly hooked me on the belly button turn. I have tried the easiest swing in golf with mixed results and the Moe Norman system which works very well for me but with no middle swing I dont get the distance. Altho the accuracy is there. Im 81 and on 16, so pretty agile., Have started to practice. Will play. Cheers.
I attempt those first two steps and achieve them but lose all chance of making decent contact with the ball on the clubface.
@AussieGolfPros
@AussieGolfPros 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your feedback swardmusic. A drop in ballstriking performance can happen as a result of making swing changes. Persevere with plenty of practice swings, clipping a very specific part of turf to improve your clubface awareness. Then check this out to get you finding that sweetspot: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWncdauegb54ic0
At my home driving net, I have a smooth fluid swing. On the golf course I’m tense and stiff. I can’t seem to overcome it. I have recently started videoing myself and I can see the difference between at home and on the course. Help.
X factor doesn't say don't turn the hips. It says the shoulders should out turn the hips.
@AussieGolfPros
@AussieGolfPros 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching 08jag80. Maybe I should have said ‘restrict’ the hip turn. The problem with the method remains - the golfer is unable to initiate downswing acceleration with the lower half because there is no physical ability to increase the difference between shoulder rotation and hip rotation.
