Once again, I wanted to express my thanks to the team at Stake for agreeing to become a long term partner of New Money. Their support really does help us deliver these high-quality KZbin videos to you (for free), and because of their sponsorship, it's going to mean better videos, more often. With that said, if you're an Aussie or Kiwi and you'd like to support them back, by signing up to their brokerage platform you can get $10 FREE credit and a FREE U.S. stock, by using the code 'newmoney': on.hellostake.com/newmoney As I said in the video, Stake are the broker I've been using personally for the past 6 years - I've watched them grow from a small startup to Australia's third largest broker (rivalling the big banks now), and the reason for it is they genuinely have a great platform, and they also go about it the right way. I'm lucky enough to have met a lot of the Stake team (including the two founders) and they have always been laser focused on improving their platform to make the US markets more accessible for us that don't live there. For full transparency, I am not paid by Stake per sign up, however they will obviously be tracking sign ups in the background to monitor the performance of the partnership, so if you'd like to support me, that's still the way to do it. :) Overall, thanks for supporting my content and particularly my sponsored content. It really does help keep the channel viable and I do not take it for granted. Here's to the beginning of (hopefully) an amazing long term partnership. The stock market and economy at large over the last 15 years was a result of 8+ trillion dollars in FED Quantitative Easing. I find it highly and mathematically unlikely the FED will do that again. When QE was launched en masse back in 2008 inflation was not a problem. There was actually some minor deflation occurring at the time. If the FED were to restart QE again under current conditions, and drive real yields on bonds deeply negative once again, the FED will quickly find itself the exclusive buyer of all government bonds. The Federal deficit is around 2T a year but the Federal government is rolling over maturing debt meaning there are 7+ trillion dollars worth of UST sales per year. There is zero way the FED can print and buy 7 trillion dollars worth of government debt every year without causing double digit inflation.... ... I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 210k to a decent 732k in the space of a few months... I’m considering rebalancing my $900k portfolios, So I'm curious about the best strategies to sell and buy stocks for my portfolio to hedge against market downturns and generate profits. Is it still a good time to buy?
@Joeknowsball24727 күн бұрын
The key to achieving substantial returns isn’t chasing big-moving stocks; it’s about managing risk relative to reward. Position sizing is crucial, and consistently applying your edge as often as needed to reach your goals. This principle applies to everything from long-term investing to day trading.

Due to my demanding job, I lack the time to thoroughly assess my investments and analyze individual stocks. Consequently, for the past seven years, I have enlisted the services of a fiduciary who actively manages my portfolio to adapt to the current market conditions. This strategy has allowed me to navigate the financial landscape successfully, making informed decisions on when to buy and sell. Perhaps you should consider a similar approach.

If you DCA'd through these periods after 2000 or 2007, you've still made a huge profit. Your whole logic about taking years for a breakeven depends on the idea of a one-off investment and than never investing again. With DCA the breakeven is reached much much sooner after a downturn.

Excellent video! The Feds raising interest rates in 2024 has been a positive development for the cryptocurrency; as interest rates rise, investors are drawn to Bitcoin as a potential asset and store of value. This has contributed to market price increases and has the potential to attract additional investment in the future. This, in turn, leads to better market stability, a more resilient currency, and a viable alternative to traditional investments. With rising interest rates and a continually rising price, Bitcoin is expected to be a popular investment option for the foreseeable future. With Alison Bruce strategy, I was able to amass 31 btc in just three weeks, despite the current market conditions. She is very detail-oriented and knowledgeable about the cryptocurrency market. Honestly, I think all the hedge funds along with contrarian investors, including KZbinrs are trying to crash the stock market issuing negative news and setting a tone for a market crash. Fear mongering is a great weapon. Clearly, the corporations are making record high profits especially the mag 7. Take Nvidia for instance record high profit and record high revenue in growth YoY. However, the stocks down about 3%. All the big name investors are withdrawing the cash from the market to decrease the liquidity. As long as the revenue is growing the surge in stock is valid. However, all this youtubers trying to time the market which is the worst thing you can do. No one can tell if the market is at top or bottom, if you invest in great companies in good price like Nvidia, SMCI, Palantir, who have a growing revenue you’ll make money in the long term.

I'm surprised that you just mentioned and recommended Natalie Strayer, I met her at a conference in 2018 and we have been working together ever since.

The very first time we tried, we invested $2000 and after a week, we received $9500. That really helped us a lot to pay up our bills.

You trade with Natalie Strayer too? Wow that woman has been a blessing to me and my family.

Stagflation seems to be the plan and necessary to pay off US debt. Yes, stocks are very expensive but so is everything else. You may want to invest in like real estate or gold. Also, holding onto cash is very expensive if inflation runs rampant. There is really no obvious opportunity right now.

My uneducated thought is, valuation multiples may not come back down. It’s not just the US investing in the US market, it’s global now and everyone everywhere is putting money into the SPY hoping to retire one day, if the valuation crashes back to earth I’d imagine it has more to do with population numbers than earnings.

Hey Brandon, a video on your stock market investing journey (and track record), perhaps in the style of The Swedish Investor summaries, would make for a cool video idea!

I started investing in 1999. Those early years were "great" with terrible returns. I remember looking at my 401K at one point moving it from a job where I'd been for years and it was essentially flat. I took a much more active management of my portfolio after that. I know you can't time the market but I've taken a "farming" approach where I'm constantly taking profits and putting them into non-equity investments. I may have lost some potential gains there but it feels better not having everything subject to the vicissitudes of the market.

For dividends strategy only investors ( with reinvesting) is not a lost decade. But for value and growth yes is a lost decade.

June 30, 2022 to June 30 my portfolio, outside the 401K & 529, was up 20%. Overall 2022 was a +22% year for me. I lean toward small-cap value so not much in dividend stocks but I really appreciate the few I have.

It used to be believed that investors lost money during the crash, however some people made money. While some people got into business during the Great Depression, I also believed that some went out of business. In the end, some people always experience depression while others earn prosperity.

The key to high profits is not in fast-moving stocks. It's about controlling risk in relation to reward. Using the appropriate size and spinning your edge as many times as necessary to achieve your aim. That holds true for both long-term investing and day trading.

Due to my rigorous job, I do not have the time to thoroughly review my investments and analyze particular equities. As a result, for the past seven years, I've hired a fiduciary to actively manage my portfolio in order to respond to changing market conditions. This method has enabled me to successfully traverse the financial environment, making sound decisions about whether to buy and sell. Maybe you should use a similar strategy.
@AntonioLorussooАй бұрын
This is absolutely significant! Could you recommend any professionals or advisors I could call? I am in severe need of correct portfolio allocation.

My CFA Sophie Lynn Carrabus , a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.

When showing the SP500 you should really use the SP500 return index, rather than the price index, or use an ETF SP500 where dividends accumulate in the charts. When thinking about investing in SP500 you should think of expected return, that includes a valuation drag. Say the US SP500 PE is 37 and that you assume around 10% growth (in line with median) and fair PE of 15 (in line with median) and current dividend yield of 1.25%. In this case the valuation change drag over 10 years is -8.6% per annum. So your expected return right now is 2.65% per annum for the next 10 years. This is well below Treasury yields and going for a mix of bonds makes more sense. Also points to weighting towards other equity indices.

It's all about valuations right now. Your video was about that before you put a positive spin on the stock market at the end of your video. The market is way too expensive, in la-la land and will have to revert to mean at some point.
