Tim's natural speaking voice is sooooo looooooowww. I loved this arrangement so much, that they went, "We've got two power tenors with remarkably high ranges and a bass with one of the lowest singing voices in a cappella music today. Who gets to sing the high descant-like part? The bass? Yeah, definitely the bass."
@jodyburger19792 жыл бұрын
Tim Foust is unfairly talented. I mean unfair to the rest of how talented he is. His range is not even human.
@jillchamberlain64782 жыл бұрын
Amazing isn’t it? Two high tenors, and the bass is singing the lead high part!!

Chris Chatham, the 3rd guy, is an old friend of Tim's- they sang together in Tim's first professional acapella group, Blue Jupiter, 20 years ago. More recently he's been working with both Tim and Austin on their solo projects - as they say, they have a lot of talented friends, and they like to feature them. Supporting other artists, rather than competing with them, is very much their style, both within the group and outside it.

Are there old videos with Tim? &thnx
@sallymaria2 жыл бұрын
@@intermenater Not that far back. The earliest videos I know of Tim are from a later group he was with, Ball in the House. But if you look for Tim's radio tour videos for his solo album back in 2011, on his KZbin channel, you'll see Chris Chatham in those, playing guitar.
That's one thing I love about HF and its members. Other musicians are usually friends who work with them on other videos and songs, and the women in their videos are usual relatives, long time friends, and their wives/girlfriends.

It's been said when Tim is in a restaurant, and he's ordering food, all the women with-in earshot, stop eating and turn around to see where that deep manly voice is coming from. I just love this cover....it's such a great song. BTW...the gentleman playing the bass guitar & in the purple shirt is Tim's real life brother-in-law. Tim is married to Jenika Marion Foust, whose brother is Chris Marion. Chris Chatham is a singer songwriter & has writen several songs with Tim, including one of the Home Free releases called Land of the Free

Yet another episode of 'what the heck is going on' by members of Home Free. lol! Tim is singing high, Austin is singing low, and Mr. X is just plain singing! LOL!
@brendagrothier9672 жыл бұрын
Chris playing the first guitar and singing is a good friend of Tim's. Together they wrote Land of The Free that they sung on their new album. The guitarist farther away is Tim's brother in law. Just seeing them sing in the back yard is just fun. Wouldn't it be nice to live in Austin's neighborhood. I laughed to after Timothy spoke.

I really loved this performance by Tim & Austin & the other guys. Liked Austin singing in his lower register. I don't think I have ever heard Tim sound so clear & crisp in his upper falsetto range. Who would ever believe that he is a natural bass who can drop down into the basement depths. But then as soon as he speaks you can hear his low tone. Wouldn't it be cool to have these guys perform for you at home.
@grievousangel77422 жыл бұрын
Tim does sound clear and sharp. I believe that his upper range has become a lot better since Chance joined the group as it meant Tim could spend less time rumbling away and work on the rest of his range knowing Chance is a safe set of vocal cords.

I saw an interview with Tim Foust wherein he said that when he's giving advice to aspiring bass singers (apparently he has a class people can take on-line). He said one of the first things he tells them is to practice singing tenor - falsetto. He said the more they exercise they vocal chords the better a bass singer they'll be. His range is just astonishing!

this song must have been so fun for tim to not sing bass and go high for a change whole song. its like me singing with headphones on but then sound good also. and then tim went lower then 85% of anyone can go by just talking like its noting. hes a gem and a massive one.

Tims upper register is becoming more filled out IMO. He keeps stretching his range. 3 tenors here it's amazing

Tim used to be a tenor, he says he was a late bloomer so he really developed his upper register first before his voice kept dropping. He also says that most of the songs he writes in the tenor range.

Time to check out “Mayday” . Also, please go to Adam Chance’s channel and react to solo work, especially his interpretation of “Driver’s License “…it’s so wonderful. Also, HF “I Can’t Outrun You “…it’s a Chance lead, he directed the video, and it’s hauntingly beautiful. He has such a warm voice, he deserves some recognition.

Now that was fun wasn't it. Tim so clean with his high tenor. Austin staying in his lower voice is great also. Then you have Chris Chatham with a beautiful voice. Chris Marian on guitar in the back and Sebastien Douyon on keyboard are very good. There is a song out there with Tim's bandmates from way back with Chris Chatham and two others...Tim Foust...Edge of Glory...really good and fun to watch. When the song is over he mentions..."this is for my little monsters"...he was a substitute math teacher. Just a little more fun about Tim. Thanks for a great reaction, so much fun.

It gets me every single time when Tim starts to speak in his normal voice after singing so high and so clearly so high. Chris Chatham can be seen in several of Austin's videos and in Tim's videos. He's a longtime friend of Tim's and they used to be in an acapella group called the Alley Cats together. There are videos of the Alley Cats performing at Tim's Birthday Bash from this past summer and they are really good and funny. He's co-written some of the Home Free songs with Tim, including Land of the Free. Great reaction! Thank you! 🥰🙏

The other Chris is Tim's brother-in-law. November is Alzheimers awareness month so I am requesting that you react to Glenn Campbell's final recording after being diagnosed with Alzheimers in his early 70s. After being diagnosed he did a 16 month tour doing just under 150 show throughout North America and Europe. Through muscle memory he remained capable of continuing to play his guitar and this slowed the dementia that comes with this disease. His final recording in 2014 was I'm Not Going To Miss You. I am requesting this to honor all patients and families affected by this horrid disease.

I would add The Thunder Rolled (believe it is on Marcia's channel) as a good Tim & Chris collab. As mentioned, Austin's channel has some great stuff including a collab with Tim's wife, Jennika on "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" and a relatively new Eric Clapton cover by Austin & Chris. All are great!

Tim is in the process of making an acapella solo album where he sings all the parts. The songs are all doo-wop songs. He's been releasing the individual tracks to his Patrons as he records them. The latest track was released last week & is a medley of two tunes, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow (The Shirelles) & Stay (The 4 Season) And Tim sings part of Stay in falsetto just like Frankie Valli did. And they're GOOD! Just become one of Tim's Patrons & you can hear them. (No reaction since they're not yet available to the public - but I think you would enjoy listening to them.)

Hi Christopher. Love the concept of all things creative. I am a huge fan of vocal groups like Home Free, VoicePlay and others and am always looking for reactors who discover them. I love to see the band mates collaborate with their many talented friends. If you are a movie lover, I would suggest “ACA Top 10 Movie Themes” by VoicePlay and ft. Rob Lundquist. Do you think a comparative analysis of songs done by different groups is an interesting idea for the Winter Holiday Season? For instance, “Do You Hear What I Hear” by (HomeFree/PTX), “Oh Come All Ye Faithful” by (Voctave/PTX), or “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” by (VoicePlay/Voctave/PTX). I think you will find a lot of fans willing to make suggestions; I know I can never help myself from doing so ;) I look forward to see where your channel takes you.
