Austin Butler is my new favorite actor. His performance as Elvis was miraculous, engaging and awe inspiring. In addition to his incredible talent, I have watched interview after interview of him conducting himself in such a humble manner, giving credit to everyone and everything that has inspired him as an actor. He truly comes across as so genuine and kind. I hope he can stay true to himself as I believe he has an amazing career ahead of him. Go see this movie, you will not be disappointed!

I haven't seen the movie yet and I don't feel like seeing it because based on the trailers and lots of scenes I have seen, there is no way I 'm not going to be disappointed. I prefer the acting, not the story, of former actors playing Elvis just because they tried to tell the story not immitating him. The word itself is awful...and the fact that someone PUTS EFFORT being like him in order to achieve recognition is in my view insulting... Period_.

Austin Butler was so phenomenal portraying Elvis in this movie. I’ve seen stories saying he was born for this roll and I totally agree! My Grandmother was an Elvis super fan so much that my parents names me Lisa Marie after Elvis’ daughter and I grew up watching his movies and listening to his songs and watching this movie was like watching Elvis all over again! Bravo Mr. Butler!! I watched interviews with him about how he lived Elvis for like two years and so on and he absolutely embodied him, he deserves be proud of his performance, hope he wins all the awards!

I just saw the movie, when it ended I just wanted to continue watching Austin. So I listened to his interviews. What a sexy lovely speaking voice he has. His humbleness is so appealing. During a recent interview in Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy actually came out from behind his desk to hug Austin several times. He is so very charismatic. I really hope that he can hold on that and remain true to himself. Please don’t get lost in that Hollywood mix 🌹❤️

I saw the movie for a 3rd time after watching many interviews with Austin as himself. I am so shocked at the transformation of Austin to elvis from the first scene to the last walking up to the plane. I don't see how Austin did it. This is such a massive undertaking. I can see why Priscilla was thrilled and cried. People love this because it's Elvis, but now they love Austin too.

Haha that voice is smooth like butter! He has a really nice blend of shyness and confidence, seems like a classy gentleman who loves his craft! I enjoyed hearing him talking about how much he liked going to the church with gospel music. I’ve heard that he’s a Christian but he doesn’t bring it up in his interviews. But in that moment he could not help but share that experience & how it got him in the right mindset to embody the role!

Austin has lots of experience acting from age 13 or before. He knows how to be a different character, but is also able to be himself. I watched him off and on for years, because of all those kid shows my grandchildren would watch. He would guest star and then be the star, he was always noticeable too. He was smart to do Broadway too. He's the whole package, I know Baz is so happy.

9:34 - 10:27 is so interesting to me. Writing down the character's ways of speaking all on paper is such a genius way to assimilate one's thoughts and behaviour. Especially when you're constantly writing back and forth to one another. I'm so happy that both of them worked well together. Austin has such unique ways of rehearsing and stepping right into character. What a transformation he had, he's no doubt receiving an Oscar nomination... maybe a win!

This is a very, very good interview. Thoughtful questions, allowing their guests to speak and formulate their responses without being spoken over. Too often, interviewers or talk shows are determined to make it about themselves or be nauseatingly "fake-buddy". Very good teamwork by both the interviewers and the guests. I also appreciate that the lack of fake laughs. Both guests seemed very pleased. I now look forward to watching the movie, assuming the intelligence, humility and sensitivity of the star and director will elevate it from the too often awful biopic genre.

Thankful for that. I hope there even comes another movie from this. Maybe has more Gladys, the closeness shared and tempers flaring. Priscilla and Lisa more in it. A bit if a love story and the struggle with being so well known. The joys of his life and fun times shared to joking around.

Who is Gladys? Austin surpassed all my expectations. I wasn't sure if he was "meaty" enough for the role. The intensity he brought he captured Elvis's spirit and persona -it blows you away. The movie was too frantic in style and structure and Tom Hanks' role was annoying and too much but it is all about Austin as Elvis.

The fact Austin was willing to gain the weight to play The last years of Elvis, testifies to his commitment. *****For any of the people who don't get it.... @@emyf9197 it's not really. There are obviously ways to get around it, literally. It can be dangerous to gain/lose weight for any role, if it's extreme. So if an actor is willing to actually do it & it isn't an actual requirement, then yeah.... it's extra commitment, literally.
@emyf9197
@emyf9197 2 жыл бұрын
@@Existentialnausea ??? An actors job IS to resemble a character as much as possible. Austin didn't gain 50 pounds and look insanely different. Pretty much every actor has at some point gained or lost weight especially when they played a real person... The health risk is when u are drastically losing and then shortly gaining massive weight again. Like Jared Leto did in chapter 27. Christian Bale from fat to Batman fit in same year. Austins weight gain was just like charlize theron from monster... So no it's not an "extra commitment" when he's playing an actual person and his job is to resemble the person as much as possible that too a music icon that everyone knows about.. I am so thankful that they are rembering and recognized this iconic man that I still love and are teaching our children who he was and what a good human he was ...despite what others may say. It shows an extremely talented , generous to unbelievable lengths, handsome man. In numerology ... break down the name Elvis and Jesus. It should be 1122. The numbers are the same and are special and cannot be broken. They are special and are saviors apparently.

He has brown hair and manner of David Cassidy. Did Elvis play Broadway? There is David Cassidy Austen doesn’t have to play him. He naturally acts like him now.
