Austin Butler is my new favorite actor. His performance as Elvis was miraculous, engaging and awe inspiring. In addition to his incredible talent, I have watched interview after interview of him conducting himself in such a humble manner, giving credit to everyone and everything that has inspired him as an actor. I haven't seen the movie yet and I don't feel like seeing it because based on the trailers and lots of scenes I have seen, there is no way I 'm not going to be disappointed. I prefer the acting, not the story, of former actors playing Elvis just because they tried to tell the story not immitating him. The word itself is awful...and the fact that someone PUTS EFFORT being like him in order to achieve recognition is in my view insulting... Period_.

I just saw the movie, when it ended I just wanted to continue watching Austin. So I listened to his interviews. What a sexy lovely speaking voice he has. His humbleness is so appealing. During a recent interview in Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy actually came out from behind his desk to hug Austin several times. He is so very charismatic. I really hope that he can hold on that and remain true to himself. Please don’t get lost in that Hollywood mix 🌹❤️

I saw the movie for a 3rd time after watching many interviews with Austin as himself. I am so shocked at the transformation of Austin to elvis from the first scene to the last walking up to the plane. I don't see how Austin did it. This is such a massive undertaking. I can see why Priscilla was thrilled and cried. People love this because it's Elvis, but now they love Austin too.

This is a very, very good interview. Thoughtful questions, allowing their guests to speak and formulate their responses without being spoken over. Too often, interviewers or talk shows are determined to make it about themselves or be nauseatingly "fake-buddy". Very good teamwork by both the interviewers and the guests. I also appreciate that the lack of fake laughs. Both guests seemed very pleased. I now look forward to watching the movie, assuming the intelligence, humility and sensitivity of the star and director will elevate it from the too often awful biopic genre.

The fact Austin was willing to gain the weight to play The last years of Elvis, testifies to his commitment. *****For any of the people who don't get it.... @Existentialnausea2 жыл бұрын
@@emyf9197 it's not really. There are obviously ways to get around it, literally. It can be dangerous to gain/lose weight for any role, if it's extreme. So if an actor is willing to actually do it & it isn't an actual requirement, then yeah.... it's extra commitment, literally.
@emyf91972 жыл бұрын
@@Existentialnausea ??? An actors job IS to resemble a character as much as possible. Austin didn't gain 50 pounds and look insanely different. Pretty much every actor has at some point gained or lost weight especially when they played a real person... The health risk is when u are drastically losing and then shortly gaining massive weight again. Like Jared Leto did in chapter 27. Christian Bale from fat to Batman fit in same year. Austins weight gain was just like charlize theron from monster... So no it's not an "extra commitment" when he's playing an actual person and his job is to resemble the person as much as possible that too a music icon that everyone knows about.. This is nothing new when it comes to actors
