Make no mistake he has that kind of star power, but unlike so many others who want the fame, he really is dedicated, first and foremost, to his craft. And he sounds like a cross between Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp. And on top of being absolutely gorgeous, he also has real musical talent. Another cool thing about him is he's not some silver spoon Hollywood kid. A random talent agent discovered him walking around Orange County Fairgrounds when he was 13 and got him auditions with Nickolodean. He was middle class. His parents divorced at 7 and his mom died of cancer when he was just 23. So he's dealt with some real-life struggles. He's also 31 and just now getting his foot in the door in leading roles so he's paid his dues in small time acting roles the last 18 years. Couldn't be happier for him. Never hear a bad word about him in Hollywood.

Last spring I saw the Elvis trailers and couldn’t figure out who the young man was underneath all the makeup but I was like I’m not seeing Elvis. I went to a fan screening of the movie a week before it hit theatres, and I took my 25 year old, hoping they could see why their mama was so in love with Elvis my whole life. A new fan was made that day! Austin was perfection! So glad he won the GG (even though I loved Brendan as well).

You should watch it, it's so amazing seeing Austin transform into Elvis! The only thing that ruined it for me is the rap music they played in some parts. Rap music didn't exist back in the day so the film should've sticked to Rock&Roll or blues from that Era.

LOVED the ELVIS film, Austin was amazing and as a die hard ELvis fan I was nervous seeing it, esp after so many films just focused on the negative aspects of his life never fully getting into his undeniable talent, this movie finally did it right, showing his talent and his upbringing how it all came together.. Austin deserves every best actor award and I hope BAZ wins director and of course best film… There will never be another Elvis…
