The way he said “that’s not intentional” makes me feel sad how much people are making fun of his voice online. He trained his voice and spoke as Elvis for two years, and that’s not something you can just get rid of immediately.

I feel like I've know this man for my whole life and I never found him attractive, so why do I suddenly think he's the sexiest person alive???? It's the hair, the eyes, those leather pants, the tallness, the elegance, the shyness, the way he's so well-spoken, and most importantly: the performance he gave in the movie, which is one of the most magnetic and electric I've ever seen someone on screen!!!

Chloé...WOW, I have seen many entertainers in my life and I never saw anything that even came close to Elvis. That man was of another world gorgeous, but most of all, he had a charisma and an aura about him that took your breath away. Never experienced a person like Elvis. Like the music writer in NYC for the Madison Square Garden performances wrote.."It was like a prince from another planet."

He seems like a terrific guy. Elvis was shy also. Had terrible stage fright before every appearance. It never went away. Then he said that after about the third song he’d relax. Austin mentioned in an interview that he used that knowledge to cope with performing like this and sort of thought about how did Elvis go out there when there were times he was having near panic attacks, he’d be so anxious. So, he used those things he could relate to with Elvis and it helped him get through those moments. Quite remarkable how he could so readily put himself into Elvis’s shoes and use those emotions to help himself. Elvis’s spirit must really be watching over him.

Well said, Nina! I think Austin was the best choice to play Elvis. In the 1970 film, "Elvis That's the Way It Is" there's a shot of him in his dressing room going over the lyrics and stuff like that. You see him tapping his fingers or shaking his hands. Which is out of him being nervous and he even told the camera crew this is the nitty-gritty part of show business. I still find it sad how both Austin and Elvis lost their mothers at the same age. I can't wait to see the movie!

Yes, the leather pants, the ankle-high boots, paired with the denim shirt and navy jacket! Wow then to top it off Austin's blue eyes, his shy smile, and little notes of Elvis' tone in his words = dreamy. How can Austin not sound like Elvis a tiny bit esp after speaking like that for 2 years! People need to give him a break. This role for him is outstanding and he captured Elvis' way to a tee. @3:49 "wow" is right! I mean I went to acting classes and schools early on in my life simply bc my mum originally decided I needed to get over my crippling shyness but also knew I loved acting. And she was right making that decision. By my mid teens and 20s, I was by then paying full attention to the other actor(s) I was working with (almost working FOR them), and simply thought it was out of respect for their own moments/efforts, as well as the writer and director not to screw it all up. But I never thought of it that way, that that was partially what I was doing! He absolutely hit that hammer home... WOW indeed.

I just saw Elvis and can tell you it's a story that hasn't been told before and really lets you see how Colonel Tom Parker manipulate Elvis & his father Vernon. Where Elvis was the talent Colonel Paker appointed Vernon Presley as Elvis's Business Manager. Colonel Parker was a self-serving man. Austin Butler was a great Elvis. At times I thought he looked just like Elvis. The story moves kind of fast which keeps you interested. At the end of the movie I was sad for Elvis and how his life had unfolded. I give it 5 stars! You must see it!

I didn’t know a lot about Elvis but, because of my parents I grew up with some of his classic hits. And I was able to see The Film with my parents and to see them talk about each scene as they remember seeing some of the concerts live aired on tv and how it was to the T was amazing. Elvis is in my top 3 bio pics about musicians, Elvis is number 2 as Bohemian Rhapsody is still number 1 and Walk the Line is number 3. Austin did such a incredible job and I can’t wait for it come out on Blu Ray and 4K so I can watch it over and over. He deserves Oscar’s and Emmys for his portrayal of The King.

Austin was meant to play Elvis, as I watch him I see so much of Elvis in him, even the way he's sitting on that stool, and his foot unable to keep still. He comes as so humble so gracious and so polite, just as Elvis himself was. Great interview 👍

It is really great. The best moments of acting in the movie are surrounding the later stage relationships, most notably between Priscilla and Elvis, but there is a scene between Elvis and Tom Parker that Austin really nailed.

@@christineoneal666 I have seen him perform , like the early stuff, he sure was talented and charismatic but I didn't felt the crush as many do, I don't think he was as physically beautiful as people say , great body when he was young but he had a long face and his smile was weird, but I understand that when someone just captives you everything is seen under a special lense, Austin is way better looking to me.
