hi Hugh i have had the same highs and lows by the vent i think welding in the lower half of the wing adds the distortion. the wheel opening looked bent i would start with straightening that making sure its not proud then get the high spot lowered on the door edge prop up the low spot a bit higher than needed at the same time , i had to shrink the high spot with oxy acetylene i would not do that again its to aggressive on flat panels ,borrow a uni spotter .or buy a shrinking disc ?[if your high spot is under tension like mine ]

Hi Buddy - good advice. Yes the wheel opening seems to have a weird bend and I should attack that first. Thanks for the input - gonna try some of that today Hugh

Hi Hugh, Do you think the english wheel work has pulled this area down. I think before welding in braces it might be worth trying to find a tame panel beater to possibly advise you how they would correct the missalignment. I am lucky with my BT7, all the panels are virtually a perfect fit with excellant shrouds. How about calling in a car repair shop and asking around just for advice. You never know. Regards, David. U.K.

Hi David Thanks - yes I'm seeking advice. Not easy finding someone here as car restoration is not a big thing around here. The mustang guys seem to have a fair handle on this. Anyway thanks for the heads up - stay tuned Hugh
