Hello Lin - time runs away from you and one thing leads to another. I think I have 2 more videos on the head rebuild and then the tuning. I've actually started on fitting the outer panels - that is slow going. Final fitment for blocking etc Also looking a the upholstery build requirements Cheers Hugh

Great build. I have been following you for years. Reminds me of my '60 3000 build from my wreck (Raced briefly). Can't wait for the foist drive.....

Hi Hugh, Great video as always. 10ft lbs sounded light. Rule of thumb here is five sixteenths studs 18ft lb, three eigths studs twenty three to twenty five ft lbs. Regards, David. U.K.

Always good to hear from you. Bit nervous with torque loadings into aluminium heads. I suppose that's why they run UNC course threads into the alloy head Cheers Hugh

Never lubricate cyl. Head studs, especially with an alunimum head. That lube will cause incorrect torque to be applied.

Hello TheDr - an interesting comment. Can I ask very kindly on what you base this supposition. I did research the internet and my findings are as follows: 1. Lightly coat studs in the block and nuts with motor oil (enginebuildermag.com/2005/07...) 2. Proper lubrication of bolts will give far more accurate and consistent torque loadings (mine were not properly lubricated) 3. Use a thin coat of motor oil (usefulcarstuff.com)(tomorrowstechnician.com) I can go on but you get the idea. Hugh
