Cette vidéo est belle , montre 1 grand pilote Timo Mäkinen dans la Big Healey, idem dans la Cooper, qui à chaque fois fait le vrai double débrayage pour descendre les vitesses pour préserver les synchros , faciliter les changements de rapports. Rien à voir avec la jeune génération des "enfants gâtés" de notre époque qui se mettent leurs vidéos en ligne en faisant vroum vroum au changement de vitesse, mais restent le pied enfoncé sur la butée d'embrayage. Le niveau d'incompétence de la nouvelle génération est tel que des garagistes poussent le sacrilège à remplacer des boites de vitesses de voitures de légendes par des boites de vitesse de voitures modernes, du genre BMS, Getrag, Opel ou autre voitures japonaises.

I agree, I've had 4 TR6's over the last 50 years (and roughly 200k miles)...would take a TR6 over a Big Healey any day of the week.

in melbourne australia there is a company called THE HEALEY FACTORY i have worked there and seen top cars and great work = some old 100/4`s that had a 302 v8 4 weber carbs 5 speed 4 wheel disc brakes an 160 + mph cars they went to goodwood and won top places in the car show - see them on line !

TR6 and TR7 are great cars but there are many reasons why the Austin Healey is so coveted today, one being its timeless look. Engineers are fantastic at creating extraordinary machines but never let an engineer or administrator alone define what the buyer wants.

I have restored two healey 3000s , the first was 14th from the last healey ever built and the other healey is a 1966, the 1966 was a complete teardown and reassembly restoration using new replacement parts restored parts custom parts and upgraded hp parts. The first one was destroyed in a wreck (100 foot cliff in marin headlands) and burned to almost nothing remaining and the 1966 is still on the road and is a beautiful car. Oh and the car in the pic is a works car as it has the vents in the front fenders (wings) and extra lights.
