I was half expecting his answers to just be screaming for some reason. Edit: Also find it surreal how Austin was inspired by Mother. And now like Mother, Lisa has a bunch of ambitious fan games where only the ones with the most willpower see the light of day.

really, he meant to make terry insufferable? Im honestly suprised by that. the whole "terry hintz has joined you... again!" joke at the beginning of the game was one of my favorite jokes in the whole game, and when you have to fight your party right before the rando army, terrys speech is easily one of, if not the most impactful. also the whole land of hintz was just sad. well, anyway, super cool to see an interview with austin! glad to hear hes still working on future projects!

He was trying to make a character you could give away/sacrifice easily, but those aspects then caused people to love him.

Some people might find Terry annoying, especially since he is such a useless party member at the start. If you watch Dunkey's video about Lisa, he sacrificed Terry directly when presented with the choice because of Terry being so weak. Unless you're a JRPG fan who understands the tropes and cliches (weak party members might grow to become stronger than others) probably you will do it too

So happy to see LISA content on KZbin. It definitely has some great videos on it, but I see a lack of people talking about it in recent years, and it really bothers me. LISA was one of the major games to get more invested not only in the Mother series, but in RPGs in general. I'm very thankful for Austin for making a game that changed so much in me and many others. Excited to see his next projects, whatever they may be

i have been following Austin since the day he started to upload the LISA soundtrack on his channel! Pokemon was my favorite rpg...then Undertale...then Earthbound and now for a long time LISA, this game literally changed me, Austin was a huge inspiration for me, by how he made music and games without too much but at the end still creating amazing bizarre music and incredible dark ambient between LISA the first and painful to joyful, i can't wait for the next project he have, can't wait to listen to more fl studio weird ass music, all hail columbo...
