Am glad here in the US we don’t have to care much about how loud your bike sounds, that’s why my 2020 SDR is running Austin Racing V3 150mm Homologated. and I must tell you 1600miles latter. Interesting one this; I mentioned this end can while talking to my KTM dealer and the mechanic kicked off about crap quality. Then I checked the AR website for average build time. Realised I’d have another bike by the time I got it..! So the gods aren’t smiling on me for this one but glad you got it mate 👍🏻

I have exactly same pipe on my 2020 SD. Only difference is black end tip. Haven't got a chance to drive on the road yet because of winter. Love the sound of it. Looking forward to give it a go next summer.

I think the problem that pisses people off is a continual stream of bikers razzing it through their village all day long (especially on the weekends), loud pipe or no...and you can't really blame them. I don't think you need a loud exhaust to annoy people!

Don't get me wrong I appreciate that it's not for everyone, I'm just trying to under what people expect from a video titled "Austin Racing v3 mini"? I personally wouldn't watch a video i didn't agree with! I would say that a high percentage of the people here watching an aftermarket exhaust video, are either looking for an exhaust for their bike, or are interested in the content.

Have exactly the same can on mine except for 150mm. I waited 16 weeks for delivery here in Australia, unfortunately although I absolutely love the sound and the look I will probably never buy anther AR can again due the the fact the Australian distributor here is useless when it comes to customer service.

Brilliant video thanks! I had one fitted to my Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP which I was really pleased with, now that I’ve ordered a SDR I will get one ordered as it seems to make a huge difference. Just a question where did you get the luggage rack as it looks quite neat and tidy and will be very convenient when packing up some gear for a tour..............

I couldn't tell you! Mine is the v3 mini 200mm, but you can also get the mini in a 150mm which isn't homogenated! I can obviously only comment on what I've got. It tells you on their which are road legal, and which ones aren't. Goes without saying their road legal exhaust are slightly quieter than the others.

Do any companies do a de-cat pipe for the superduke? Or is this not really done. I realize the superduke exhaust is weird with the different primary diameters. Probably a little more tricky to design a good aftermarket exhaust.

the Austin Racing exhaust is still on the bike. Austin Racing released their own video which was more accurate than mine. It's on the DB limit, but legal!

Yeah I was a bit! Took months to arrived and quality wasn't very good. Not sure if they send us the Monday models to review, but wasn't happy to keep it on the bike.

Their video is up and off course it says something like 93db. I just dont know and ordered it anyway. Off course i used your code. I am curious how the tax part works for import.

Yeah saw their video, the V3 mini 200mm which is what I have came out at 96db which is acceptable. Turns out the video I did wasnt accurate. I should have also tested the stock can which I didn't at the time. I have now and its proves that my tester wasn't calibrated! The difference between the stock can and the V3 mini 200mm is 5db, which mine tester was also able to show, it's just wasn't set correctly. I'm now pretty confident that AR video is accurate, yes it's on the loud side but within the legal window. Only time will tell if I ever get tested at the road, what the police record it at. Mine shall be staying on, although if I ever back to the Alps I'd probably put the stock back on, just to be 100% certain that my longer tours aren't ruined.

Me personally not at all I find it very addictive! A lot of them these days can still be ridden conservatively. Riding at constant speeds, or with a less aggressive throttle hand, they aren't much louder than the stock cans.
