Rivers will definitely have his 40 point games but Beal averaged 15 a game while Boynton was taking a bunch of shots too. Rivers averaged 15.5 while being the primary scorer. Beal gets his. I can see Beal being a lot like Wade because of how hard he drives to the rim. Also Beal plays point a lot at UF(a lot of people don't know that) his handles are very underrated.

beal will have a solid career, and is clearly the most complete player, but I seriously think Rivers has the potential to be an ELITE scorer at the next level some day. His game is better suited for the NBA, his ballhandling is amazing and he is going to be almost unstoppable on ISO situations. Time will tell but I would have a hard time choosing between both players

For Boston being such a great defensive team, of course becasue its anchored by the great KG, but still Doc has set that tone up in Boston for the players to go along with, so its surprising his kid cant play d to save his life. Gotta get that d up.

It will be interesting to see how Beal and Rivers turn out. This could be a really strong draft, much better than the John Wall draft. I expect them both to be better than Evan Turner. Me personally, I am always looking for the next young superstar. I am a Bobcats fan and if they do not end up with the Number 1 pick, I hope they don't pick Harrison Barnes. Jordan has mentioned he wants a player like himself. Prehaps Kidd-Gilchrist? I really like his game.

It was in the scouting reports when he came out of high school. I'm a UF alum, so I saw all the UF games and the scouting reports were right, he's pretty much Ray Allen. That's not a crime that I listened to analysts and agreed with them. Nope, I did not watch Ray Allen in his prime. Beal is a better rebounder. and I will not "stfu"

I see Beal as more of a Ray Allen type player, but Austin as more of a Deron Williams at SG type player. I think without question Austin has better handles. The real question is which one is going to be able to lead a team to victory, and that we'll just have to see. You may be right about the triple double stuff for Beal, but I think Austin is more likely to score 40. Two different types of SGs for sure.

The notes about beal are that he is a streaky shooter, for at florida he had a very hot streak to start the season, however he and the rest of his team went cold towards the end of the season and they started loosing because of it

Wow, good one with Clausen. You can name of bunch of those, but for the most part experts do a pretty good job. And also, both of them can make their own shots off the dribble, yet Beal is a lot better at driving to the hoop. Plus he's just a more complete player, more likely to get a triple double, not to mention better defense.

Beal the better player by far. Better shooter, by far better defender stronger driver, better rebounder, better teammate, all arpund better. Beal can score 30 and dominate while taking 15 shots. Rivers needs to take 25 shots to get his 30 cuz he dont know how to slow down.

@ kwamaster. I really think Beal could be in a year or two. Not a pure shooter/scorer like Rivers. Not many people are. Rivers can flat out shoot/score and the NBA needs scorers; pure shooters don't come along too often. So that is what separates the two for me as far as an instant lottery pick. Beal is a beast and will be in the NBA 10 plus years as well.

Rivers is the better player, both are elite but Rivers has more upside. Rivers has the type of offensive game that could lead the nation in scoring as a freshman. Of course he wont, because he will go to a good team probably duke. And he will have to learn how to play better defense he will wont get much time, Beal has definitely got him in this area.

is anyone old enough to have seen ray allen as a rookie? He was way more athletic than bradley beal, and their mentalities are totally different. Ray allen is always trying to score when he's open. If you watched bradley beal in college, he shy's away from taking over. Do guys like that ever become super stars? Ray allen is the all time leader in 3pt fg... C'MON.

@sxeconorp Well, a great score draws the help defense in, always leaving a man wide open, and with Austins scoring ability, I can gurantee there will be tons of Double teams ect. Austin can break down a defense into help, and finish the basket(In highschool) When you get into college play it becomes much harder to finish around the rim. Overall he needs to pass the ball more, but i'm sure that will come in college. Coach K ain't gonna put up with that.

@bubbg33 Its not exactly known where Rivers is going yet. He backed out from going to Florida to look at other options, however Florida is still near the top of his list. Personally, as a Gator fan, I'm glad we have Beal as a for sure commit. Although it would be nice to have Rivers he just seems too much of a ball hog, and too ego-centric for Billy Ball. Beal looks more of a team player where Rivers is more of your Iverson-esque type player. Rivers is 1 and done for sure. He's UNC bound

Beal could be like Eric Gordon but Gordon is a way way way better athlete. Rivers is the better player. Rivers is more athletic, more creative, extremely better handles and has a killer instinct. BTW this is coming from a Beal fan.
