Not really. Watching this with what we know now with his career makes it easier to call some of this stuff out…but his handle isn’t that good, it’s the same dribble crossover moves almost every time. You also aren’t getting away with sloppily dribbling through defenders at the next level just by being quicker than guys in high school. He has some nice passes to wide open guys…in high school. We’re we supposed to expect him to be able to get these shots off or separation at the next level? Look at his frame…too small. Too many guys his size in the NBA with legit bulk and more length. I’m not a 12 year NBA veteran, but it makes you wonder how long he would have been around if not for his daddy.

Saint Patrick's won that game but Rivers put up like 38 if I remember correctly lol. The PG ended up being a 4 year starter for Florida Gulf Coast and led them to the 16 to 1 upset in the NCAA tournament. Great video guys...yall have done it once again. To all the people saying he needs to develop his, you're right. At the college and pro level, there will be quicker, more tenacious defenders/defenses that will push him left. Sure, he's really dominant without it, but he will have to use his left more often at superior levels.

Austin Rivers is pretty awesome and probably will be a great player in the NBA one day. He needs to work on two weaknesses. 1) Majority of the time he beats his opponent to the left then move in for the lay up or dunk. 2) If he doesn't beat you left, he fakes right and pull back for the jumper. Watch the video its hard to miss.
